Well, that was 2 years ago and Cousins already proved to be a fantastic throwing quarterback. Robinson is a 3rd year starting senior and has yet to beat anybody with his arm. Plus, if that bama DB didn't fall down giving UM a free touchdown, Robinson's stats would be even worse.
If doing marginally better than MSU 2010 is the SCum measuring stick for this year, we'll be expecting them to do marginally better than 11-1 the rest of the way. Good luck with that
Guinness makes you drop mud.
Again, they played about the same. I think it is not the QB, I think it is the defensive scheme...ijs.
this exact question was posed on their board....
In the last 5 seasons, Michigan is now 26-25 so they have been playing Michigan Football for quite some time now.
I'm convinced they came up with the game plan they did to minimize the risk of injury to Denard.
That's a dangerous game to play. Might as well bench him and other starters so that they don't get hurt playing a game plan they aren't comfortable with. Might as well just not show up and forfeit.
and relying on his arm to win a game is a better idea ?
If they were so worried about injuries that they game planned to specifically avoid them regardless of winning or losing, it'd be safer to just forfeit. Had they not showed up, they'd still have their starting CB.
I hope they weren't game planning scared...I doubt they would, but of they did, there was even less a chance to win, and probably more chance of injuryx
What game are you referencing? Denard had 2 interceptions on Saturday. 1 was a pick six. If you're going to throw stats at us, then at least throw the right ones. Dumb fucking hick.
Borgess basically admitted that is what they were doing at today's presser.
"Denard was not going to run the ball 20 times in this game....Especially against a team like Alabama.....If he runs the ball 20 times every game there will be nothing left of him at the end of the season.:
New excuse I heard today:
"If the game had been played back when Bo was coaching."
A crack in the "Hoke is a great coach" armor?
Coaching scared benefits no one, especially not his team. Shame on Michigan/Borges.
They would have still lost because it wouldn't have been a Big 10 game and bo didn't care about non-conference games.
I also question whether you can rate this Bama team and the 2010 team the same.
Yeah, right. Bo never would have allowed Michigan to schedule Alabama. scUM had never played Bama in a game besides when they were forced to in a bowl game.
Number of times Bo opened the season with a nonconference road win......0
2010, at this point has to be considered the better Bama team.
Offensively they had Lacy, Ingram and Richardson in the backfield, McElroy at QB. Julio Jones at WR. Carpenter, and Mike Johnson on their OL, both were high draft picks.
They had McLain, Jackson, Areanes, Cody, Dareus, Barron, Hightower, Kirkpatrick, and Upshaw go in the first 3 rounds in the NFL draft.
Will we look back at the 2012 team and say they had as much or more pro-level talent, that remains to be seen. But we can say the 2010 team was stacked right now.
