I was scrolling through today's CBB schedule and I noticed that San Diego plays at the Jenny Craig Pavillion. This now unseats Value City Arena as probably the worst named sponsorship of a college venue.
Would you care if Hollis ever tried to sell the naming rights? I doubt it would ever happen but I could maybe see a Farm Bureau Field or something.
What if the naming rights paid for a liquor license beyond what we already have in the suites and allowed the masses to buy beer (ala Minnesota's TCF Bank Stadium)

If we do it, I hope we sell the rights for an exorbitant amount of money. I think one of the dumbest ideas out there is to sell the naming rights to Spartan Foods just because they share the name "spartan."
Whether it's Spartan Stadium presented by [company] or [company] Stadium...I don't care.

The survey this week got me thinking. IF MSU takes those suggestions to heart and tries to do some of them, this might pay the bill for the things we want.
I almost want to cheer for da goofers a little thanks to their decision to sell beer. MSU already hates tailgating so it will NEVER happen but it's fun to dream about.
Ashley Madison Stadium
Doesn't Louisville play in the Yum! KFC Center?
This gets my vote for weirdest stadium name.

I'm ticked off that the athletic department went with Huntington Bank as a sponsor when MSUFCU is not only affiliated with the school but has donated millions of dollars to various academic programs.
Seems like there were a couple banks before that too, not named MSUFCU. Maybe they were the same corp.
I believe Providence plays at Dunkin Donuts Arena. That one always makes me laugh
Why? They didn't donate to athletics. Hollis is about business...who's going to pay the bills,
If we were sponsored by Yum! Brands, I'd bet we'd have Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and KFC concession stands. Personally, I kinda like the taco stand we have behind the south endzone.
Those people are awesome just for naming their restaurant the pink taco
Instead of the curly shuffle thing, we could have this on the scoreboard?

The rights will be sold to an auto insurance company, the teams will be branded as the Michigan State Aggies again, and Spartan Stadium will be named The State Farm.
I hope we never sell the rights.. That's what makes Spartan Stadium better than Yum! Or TCF or whatever
Technically, or at least indirectly, Breslin Student Events Center has already sold its naming rights---to the students.
Back then (and maybe even now, for all I know), MSU students were charged a little somethin'-somethin' extra in their tuition to help pay for the arena. University leaders made a point of mentioning this inclusion when announcing the name of the arena.
Yeah, we didn't buy it either (the involuntary tax was not popular), but I do remember a State News editorial praising the decision to include "Student" in Breslin's name, since the students were forking over the money.
If we sell Taco Bell at SS, I'm never entering one of those bathrooms again.
Yeah that would be bad. Point taken.
