PS- Why are kickers always ranked no higher then a 3 star? It doesn't make sense to me.
Now with a PhD in Applied Llama Physics...
It is strange as more often than not they lead the team in scoring.
More proof that "recruiting experts" not only have never played football, they've never watched a football game.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this kid a solid A-
He will probably walk on at UM now just to give MSU a big "eff you."
Even better get as he can do BOTH: last kid I remember doing combo well in college was Kevin Butler's kid who is in the NFL now as a Punter only. (yeah, same kid from UGA that missed the winning kick in regulation and had tying kick blocked in OT at outback bowl last season)
That was Blair Walsh
Rogue Leader= Obese coward who didn't attend MSU and has no college degree
Blair Walsh was the guy from GA last year and he is the kicker for the Vikings now. I also dont think he was a punter. Post Fail!
Brent Maher of Nebraska is currently a punter and a kicker.
BIG TEN CHAMPS
damn dude, I need to STOP drinking this evening pronto....I'd give me a -1 if I could!
In case anyone was wondering how this kid was doing this year: http://www.toledoblade.com/HighSchool/2012/11/22/All-Blade-Football-Team-Special-teams.html
I'd say he's an A+ as far as pickups go. Plus, he's a really good goalkeeper, I'm sure Tressel will find a way to utilize his special talents ;)
Muma was set to just inherit the kicking job, but Sadler was going to probably give him good competition. Now, all bets are off. I think this kid won't redshirt. He's going to have the PK job.
This kid is a real good punter from what I can tell, so I guess after Sadler leaves he'll probably get the job.
It's not just the recruiting experts. How many teams rely on walk-on kickers rather than handing a scholarship to one?

McGrath's Twitter has to be on overload right now.
There is a reason MD didn't offer McGrath, and was quick to offer Geiger. Spent the last rew minutes reading up on Geiger, and all film and articles show he is a top K prospect, although some articles show bias as they are written by his kicking coach.
Nonetheless, looks like a stud kicker. Welcome aboard Michael.
Sadler can place kick as well, or you talking about kick offs? Either way, badass.
Go Bears, Blackhawks, White Sox, and Pioneers.
Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand
Doubt they have 1 guy do all three. Place kicking yeah, punting probably not.
McGrath was just talking up Damion Terry on Twitter last night (makes me think he was high on MSU), and an hour ago he tweeted this:
JJ McGrath @_McGrath13
I have no clue what to say...

yeah, he was a VERY good placekicker in HIgh School...some say he kicked better than he punted. Rumors circulated around the Duff this season he played hurt. (undisclosed injury) I wouldn't doubt it because he was a STUD last season and dropped off this season badly. He didn't even try to get full extension on punts often times, just rolled out and rugby punted it with a low line drive down the field.
It's part of recruiting. Its nothing personal against McGrath, coaches take the players they think can help them win, just as players shun schools who want them.
McGrath needs to move on and find another place to kick.
A little harsh? It's not like he said something.
Yea, too bad for him. Seemed like he really wanted to be a Spartan. Oops. Good luck to him (except if he becomes a scummie).
Nίκη για MSU
McGrath is a 2013 recruit isn't he? he's not listed on any commitment list for us....was he going to walk on? and what's with the "crazy" talk about him?
McGrath actually did.
He went on Twitter some time ago and posted some comments that could be negatively perceived because we hadn't offered him. He has been a little loose lipped in social media.
There is a reason why every college coach in America hasn't offered Mcagrath a scholarship. He has 0 offers, and he has camped numerous times at MsU
The will to succeed is important, but what's more important is the will to prepare.
Welcome to MSU, Michael!
