That's it, right?
Nix and Kearney's departure are the only 2 schollies we had available, yes?
Also, any Tubby recruit is a good get.
There's a time and a place for everything and it's called college.
Nice. Even if this means an inevitable Influx in Alvin and the Chipmunk costumes in the Izzone.
If he ends up being THE star the rest of the team will become the "chimpmunks".
Is this the guy who was Schilling's teammate before Schilling went to Vegas?

On the one hand...Its great to see Izzo handing Pitino a shit sandwitch welcome to the B1G little guy...you weren't going to use that, were you?
On the other hand...is it just me, or are our hoops recruits starting to have that under-the-radar feel that permeates Dqntonio's annual haul? The luster cannot be coming off the program already...Nix just graduated, and he went to a final 4. Izzo just put Draymond Green in the NBA. These 3* UTR guys aren't going to be the norm, are they?
Unless AP goes, yes.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
In theory, no. We were actually one short when the season started. I have a feeling we're banking one extra for the 2014 class, though.
Gary Harris was a very high profile recruit. Valentine and Costello weren't under the radar, either.
Who the hell let this turd in here?
35,600 posts and counting since 09-09-2002. tRCMB Dead Pool Commissioner.
You know the guy that you just mentioned, who Izzo put in the NBA? Was also a "3* UTR guy" who was committed to Tubby at some point.
Maybe the program is at a point where you should trust Izzo and not recruiting guys who may or may not have ever played in a basketball game above 8th grade.
"If you're worried about Wolverine fans, just move to Pasadena. You'll never have to deal with 'em."
Pretty obvious UM troll.
look at some of the targets Izzo is in on for 14.
Is being a finalist for Parker the program falling into UTR only guys? Izzo went hard on just Parker, and was still able to add 2 talented kids for this class (desperately needed after Kearney left). This is either a [troll] post or you are a

And welcome, Alvin!

Yeah, I wasn't going to mention that that shouldn't be mentioned.
weren't they all top 100 prospects? not exactly UTR
East Lansing- A Drinking Town with a Football Problem
Dawson was a 5*, Payne was a 5* and hopefully next year we will get at least one 5*
Saw one of the articles include the fact that he averaged over 20 points a game. If he's 6'5 and Izzo says he can bring defensive versatility, this is already a nice upgrade over Kearney.
Yes, and Harris was top 20. Ellis is probably an under the radar player. Schilling, hard to say. Drew the attention of many top programs late.
Not necessarily. We have 1 spot left even if Payne comes back. Though I'd rather bank that scholly for '14 now that we have 2 solid '13 commits. But w/ Schilling and Ellis our scholarship roster looks like this:
Freshmen(3): Schilling, Ellis, Kaminski (RS)
Sophomores(3): Valentine, Harris, Costello
Juniors(4): Byrd(RS), Gauna(RS), Dawson, Trice
Seniors(2): Appling, Payne ()
So that's 12 of a possible 13 scholarships
actually, it's both
13 scholarships. Nix, Kearney, and 1 extra (essentially Dwaun Anderson's spot).
Really like his release on his jumper, nice and quick with a good follow through.
His shot looks fine to me
Alvin Ellis - De La Salle Institute (IL)
Yes, I'm not following the math closely, but I think we could actually sign even another guy, keep Payne, and still be within the scholarship limit. Transfers have actually killed a lot of basketball scholarships the last few years.
I forgot about him.
