It has been my experience that the biggest "preachers" are invariably the biggest scumbags, especially if they interject Christianity into situations it doesn't really belong, The sayings they spout are just words to them, not words to live by.. If somebody brings up how much of a Christian they are in a business setting for example, watch your backdoor. They will screw you every chance they get, but as long as they spend an hour at church on Sunday they are convinced they are good people.

A) Rhymes with Home Depot
B) He's a utility man who does it all
Pick your moments for False Outrage better.
And F iu.
Crean's Spartan Card officially revoked in my book.
Why don't you just use a Word document?
Not to defend Crean through these last two weeks, but was there really any other way it was going to go?
- Has success at Marquette, looks to be early candidate for Izzo's successor
- Takes job at the only school in MSU's league that has the history/pub/hype/means to stay with MSU consistently , ruffles some feathers
- Gets beaten like a drum first few years, MSU fans feel for him
- Team gets good... starts recruiting against MSU... viewed as threat
- Acts like a douche in a win against MSU that impacts the Big Ten race
Dude was going to get in MSU's way eventually. He's competition now.
I agree that he was going to get in our way, but a classier man would have kept it from this. Similar to Dantonio and Tressel. Obviously IU has more history and such, but they were also a program in really bad shape when Crean went there, and it's not like they have actually taken the B1G from us yet, Crean will have to fake a lot more nutshots and elbows to the face to get there. But from here on out, he's the enemy and I don't think we need to be civil about it.
To Crean, MSU was always just a stepping stone to "the greatest job in college basketball." That is not to place a negative value on this sentiment - it is just a natural reality. The warm and fuzzy feelings many MSU fans felt toward him were misplaced.
I find it equally disturbing that both announcers of the IU-Minny game say that they support the coaching of such bush league tactics.
I really don't care how he acts. What bothers me is that he seems to be teaching his players to flop/fake injuries. Bo Ryan is another fiery guy that I don't think we would hate as much if he didn't teach flopping, too.
Deadspin is on it:
Down five with less than 30 seconds remaining last night in Minneapolis, the top-ranked Indiana Hoosiers found themselves in a bind: They needed points, but first they needed the ball. One way to achieve both without losing precious seconds was by somehow drawing an offensive flagrant foul on Minnesotas table for a review:
35,600 posts and counting since 09-09-2002. tRCMB Dead Pool Commissioner.
Kinda. Last sentence says they are staying out of it.
Now knowing what 1995 is like all over again! Thank you 247 technology!!
Pretty shoddy from them, after some more solid pieces in recent months, as they should have given context with the MSU game. On it's own, one could argue it, but in context of the MSU game, it sure makes it look a lot more definitive. Man up, deadspin.
The two issues are mutually exclusive.
1) Crean has turned into a very good coach/recruiter
2) His players have been involved in 2 Bush League moves in 1 week, possibly instructed by Crean
I agree with the sentiment that I too had much respect for Crean and IU--especially with him being a former assistant at MSU. However, with the Nix/Zeller and now Sheehy flop last night (him clearly bring his face as close to ballhandler's elbow and trying to draw contact, then going straight to the floor like he was punched) tells me there's some coaching involved and my feelings for Crean have made a 180 degree move in 1 week.
The biggest problem I have is they've been able to manipulate the refs/system to at the very least get an extra TO out of the deal. The message to teams is now: Flop and you'll get a TO out of it and maybe we'll get FT's and the ball. If the B1G doesn't do something about this in the offseason to penalize a team (at least a TO, if not a Tech) for flopping, next year will be really ugly for every close game in the final minutes.
Got some new video on Zeller...
Noob player from Chile trying to draw a foul..
More incredible videos:

The good thing is, there is a precedent now to follow in the NBA with flopping being a penalty.
And do remember, Nix was on fire and we had just seized momentum and the place was rocking, iu was on ropes reeling...and then the TO, which lasted I believe over 5 minutes. iu rights ship, Nix has emotional reaction and sits, which cost us a TO to bring him back in, and iu comes back to win.
A monkey with a basketball could recruit at IU.
The RCMB...is one of the most awful, alarming, inappropriate, disgusting, and offensive msg boards in the history of the internet.

No kidding, just take a look at the 4-5 star players Indiana HS basketball turns out.
In comparsion MSU and UM have two starters between them that are Michigan HS products.
I have to agree that the evidence seems a little shady, first Zeller now Sheehey and the halt the "momentum of the game" angle seems to be it.... A ScUM grad and I talked about it at the office today and he originally thought Nix was guilty but said that this is pretty damning on Crean for both games.... sad.
I respected the guy, especially as an Izzo protege and cheered on Indiana AFTER MSU in the Big Ten... But I don't think I will going forward...
The refs and the league better take notice....
---"It's not over and it will never be over here."---
"Por favor, Corraco!"
Thank you, Denicos.
It. Is. Childish. It's the equivalent of a taunt you'd hear at recess in elementary school. Jesus. I thought we were better than that.
Of course, this is tRCMB. What was I thinking?
Amen. I was just about to step into this thread and take an onslaught of neg bombs for saying we might be overreacting JUST A TAD.
I'm sure all of this faux moral outrage has NOTHING to do with the fact that IU beat us twice this year...
Why don't you take the initiative & come up with something better. Surely that's a slam dunk for the genius that came up with SpartanInNH?
Guinness makes you drop mud.
