There will be a long line of teams wanting to pay him. He's the best closer on the market.
I'd like to see the money spent elsewhere. That guy is gonna command a nice contract. I'd rather shell it out for an outfielder.
This is the same play they ran earlier, turn the corner and look. Nice back door. Cleaves the alley-oop. Ohh! What a setup off the timeout!
I think the chances are good if Sanchez goes elsewhere. That will probably be the domino that sets everything else this offseason.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
It makes a ton of sense that they'd talk. But the guy opted out of a $14 million dollar year, and with Boros as an agent, he'll want to get paid in a multi-year deal. Especially if the Tigers bring back Sanchez, that's a lot of money. Right now, it wouldn't surprise me to see the team hit spring training with an internal battle with Alburquerque, Coke, and Rondon battling for the role, maybe adding another arm to compete. But if they're willing to sign a free agent, Soriano has to be at the top of the list. Who knows....predicting Dombrowski is never easy.....

9 Closers the Tigers could sign
I wouldn't touch Soria, Adams (think he's more comfortable as a set up man), Affeldt, or Farnsworth.
Farnsworth.......fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck no. Been there done that: head case which is why he's been on about 6 teams
The less players represented by Scott Boras the better. That's the only thing I hate about Prince
Jackson just signed with him.
Gonna get a big contract soon

Agree. No thanks. Even for free.
