He might be the best coach I've ever seen.
UM would have an arrogant asshat for a coach. Like they do now.
We would make turkey neck jokes in place of the fat jokes at Hoke's expense
Gee, welcome to the board, Michigan troll.
tRCMB - Where MSU fans eat their own.
Wasn't going to happen. He wanted to coach in the NFL all along. If he had come to UM he probably would've bolted after 2-3 years, if that.
stfu nuck...although I WILL say Harbaugh would've had the decency to shake Myer's hand after playing O$U....Hoke is a fat cockgobbler

they would be better than they are right now
"Put your mother in a straight-jacket you punk ass white boy." ~ Mike Tyson
Among coaches that look like Quagmire from Family Guy, he is the best I have seen as well.
Who cares?! next question.
If you believe Jim Harbaugh was ever serious about the umaa job you probably spend every Friday before the OSU vs umaa game at Schembechler's grave waiting for him to rise from the dead.
Jim Harbaugh saw how the NFL game works up close via his brother Jim, the Ravens HC. He saw the big paychecks, no recruiting and never having a player leaving early.
I lost my disdain of Harbaugh when he was coaching at Stanford and a reporter asked him, "what's happened to football at Michigan?", and Harbaugh responded, "They are still playing good football in Michigan. It's being played in East Lansing". I'm freaking glad he isn't coaching at scUM. He is a hell of a coach.
Spartans ...committed to bring Paul Bunyan home in 2013.
What if MSU would have hired him from the University of San Diego?
He never said that
Rogue Leader= Obese coward who didn't attend MSU and has no college degree
There was buzz early that Izzo was pushing for him initially. Great relationship with him via Crean.
Yeah, but he'd be a good coach. But he wasn't going to UM anyway.
Besides, it's tough to beat getting a NFL gig. Even if you get fired, someone else will just hire you after a year.
Harbaugh = No Mattison, defense continues to suck last year and improves a little this year.
Mattison should be HC for what he did with that defense, without him UM is coming of 6-6 seasons in 11 and 12.

As if Michigan could ever land their Plan A coach.
Rodriguez and Hoke proved that Michigan always has to hire someone way down the list.
Agree completely. All this board wanted to talk about was how he was a bum in tNFL and the Ravens were awful with him and he has proven to be a fantastic coach.
I heard on the radio that RichRod had been rumored to have been hired by Alabama before Saban came along. Blew me away, i did not remember that.
Yup, he wanted the job. Would probably still be at San Fran now though.
They had him flying to Tuscaloosa to sign the deal, IIRC. Then he backed out and decided to ruin Michigan football instead.
Edit: Nope, had an offer but declined. A year later he left.

A Mattison slurper? Unbelievable.
Yeah, we won't mention how awesome he was at ND.
This board can polish any turd until you can see your reflection in it.
If Harbaugh were hired back then, the General Studies program at scUM would have folded and half the team would have had to transfer because Harbaugh was rather vocal in his criticism of the academics surrounding the football program. He actually expected scUM to be a Stanford of the midwest, while the football program is more like a UNLV of the midwest....poor academics and a history of a cheating basketball program.
Harbaugh to Michigan never had a chance of happening
