In football, your career can be over in one play. What's more important is the integrity and honor you conduct yourself with the rest of the time.
hoke- to alter or manipulate so as to give a deceptively or superficially improved quality or value.
Good luck to him wherever he lands
This is why I think Basketball was a better option even as an alternative for the kid. If he goes to that piece of shit school in Ann Arbor or Ohio State..I hope Cox lays him out.
This ^^^^ was always a red flag. Morris was / is a great ambassador for Blue. As he was a national in-state prospect his early commit and subsequent recruiting helped Blue land their class # whatever.
I am sure Drake had some love for MSU when he committed. When his recruiting started blowing up, he went pretty quiet. As much i would have liked to have seen him in the Green/White, his potential recruiting draw might be just as big of a loss.
Glad it is March where The Spartans command plenty of national attention.

i've never done anything but wish a HS kid the best when he chooses elsewhere, but after this comment Mr. Harris can go fuck himself. What the fuck. What a little shithead. Someone should point out that we have more National Titles in the modern era than our little sisters in AA do.
Last post I make about Drake Harris...
a 4-5 star player in Michigan is a 3 star player in the SEC and even in Ohio. We can easily make up for losing Drake. I am not even concerned. Besides Will Gholston (at times showed tons of potential) has any stud recruit from the state of Michigan pan out to be a great player. Don't give me the excuse about Mark Ingram..anyone running behind that Bama Oline could have won the Heisman that year.
Not to mention there are what, a dozen? Half a dozen schools in the running for a NC each year? The odds of him picking that one that will pull it off in the 3-4 years he will be there is awfully small.
If by "pretty quiet" you mean using every interview to reiterate he was still committed to MSU while "just looking around"..
Twitter, Smart phones, Apple....
All of it. Don't even need cell phones. I walk through the casino near the movie lines and I see these packs of morons all staring at their phones like a bunch of fucking slaves tethered to their slave collar and I think to myself, "What a pack of fucking trend chasing shallow morons". Then I tweet this idea on my samsung which is linked to my face book and everyone "likes" it so I feel better.
But seriously. I hate this shit. People don't even realize the consequences of being available 24/7. Call me when I'm home. If I'm not there then leave a message because there is nothing you have to tell me that can't wait till I'm ready to hear it.
Oh and sorry bout Drake Harris. I know how it feels. And yeah I know. Fuck me. I'm a buckeye fan. Yadda Yadda Yadda. Fuck you too and all that. These are 17-18 year old kids. Blah blah blah insert comforting something. You all know the drill. It happens every year to someone. We lost out on about half a dozen offensive linemen who went someone else and we all secretly wish they blow out their knees right before getting hit by a train and their houses burn down killing their entire family while someone video tapes it on youtube so we can view the play by play of their life and legacy being destroyed.
Happens every year. Get used to it. Starting center for the crimson tide.......where did he play high school? Yeah. The guy they recruited over him (Linsey) transferred out because he won't play at this level.

This is by no means a program breaking loss, but lets not act like SCum here where we start saying the kid "wasn't really a Spartan" or the kid "isn't even that good". Those are classic things we've all slammed them for when they would lose someone who wasn't a "Michigan man", so lets not stoop to their level. It's a shitty situation, we'd be a better team with him, but we will move on and continue to whoop scUMs ass, and odds are they won't even end up with him anyways.
some people take recruiting way too seriously.

I hope he gets on campus wherever he chooses and blows up his freshmen year, like Fred Smith.

Michigan fans don't say that, at least not on 247.
Remember Ronald Johnson from Muskegon '07 5* WR #1 nationally rated at his position?
Went to USC, played, wasn't the featured WR. 172nd pick by 49'ers
Kevin Grady from East Grand Rapids '05 5* RB #4 nationally rated at his position. Coudn't hold on to the ball in college.
Randy Kinder from East Lansing went to ND and it was like he went into ome witness protection program.
All were considered the best in HS.

Did something happen recently? Some recruit changed his mind...Oh my...
Eh, it's or he's irrelevant to my interests...
I only care about Spartans...
Nίκη για MSU
He will end up at Oregon or Alabama. Only schools that will give him at a national championship right away. He should have decommited after he said basketball is not his thing anymore. Just hate how he kept saying msu is still his top choice.
I hate to say it, but this board is in denial of where this kid will likely end up. WHen he 1st announced it was between us and 1 other school, Michigan. He visited there 3 times in the last 3 weeks and decommitted from us the day after his last visit there. The BS he's saying about our program sounds exactly like Michigan BS, as if 8-5 makes them a juggernaut.
This kid better not set foot on campus in EL anytime soon. He trashed our program in public. He's obviously not seeking the advice of his coach or his parents before he opens his mouth, kid thinks he's a big shot, he doesn;t have the character to handle himself with a little class, he'll fit in perfectly at Michigan with all the other classless assholes.
As an aside, the UM voting brigade is out in full force over on /r/cfb.
This is a Pallas’s cat. Their round pupils give them an odd human quality. They disturb me...deeply.
Under normal circumstances I would agree with you, but the way this has all gone down shows he really wasn't a Spartan nor does he have the character to be a Spartan. This wasn't your regular decommit that decided he jumped the gun and wants to look at his options. There's nothing wrong with that. Harris supposedly loved MSU. He even referred to MSU as "home sweet home." Then he started spending all of his time at scUM while still committed to MSU- even singing their shitty fight song after the MSU/scUM game. Then he finally decommits formally and takes a huge shit on our program on the way out.
Harris has shown his true character, or lack thereof, in how he has handled this. I award him no points and may God have mercy on his soul because if he ever steps foot in Spartan Stadium, he won't see any mercy from our defense.
The RCMB...is one of the most awful, alarming, inappropriate, disgusting, and offensive msg boards in the history of the internet.
Bummer to lose a talented kid, but it's clear from his interview that MSU was out as soon as basketball was off the table.
You don't really believe that scenario will play out do you?
Counting on scUM to go back to missing bowl games is just setting yourself up for disappointment.
He said he wants to win a national championship. Not watch the national championship.
I think he's out of state bound.
