MSU and GVSU. Was accepted and all set to go to MSU, and changed my mind at the last minute and went to GVSU. I grew up in Lansing and wanted to get out of town. Ended up getting my law degree from MSU though.
You sound like a tool
I am 38 do you want to know my gpa as well?
This country was built by people who worked hard then went home and had just a few too many every night. Then went back to work.
Miami of Ohio
Chose MSU because I grew up in A2 and didn't want to go to school there and my parents didn't want to pay out of state tuition.
Add me to this club
MSU, Michigan, CMU, Florida, Florida State, South Florida (offered me a partial scholarship, but the cost would have been identical due to out of state tuition).
I actually had the hardest time getting into MSU. They wanted to see my 1st semester senior year grades. I was all set to go to Florida State until my dad pulled some strings in the admissions office (he played baseball in the late 70s with an administrator, I guess). So much for the whole "Jealous of scUM because you didn't get in" line.
Anyway, I chose MSU because I grew up a Spartan. As I said, my dad played baseball at MSU. My parents met at MSU. I bleed green and poop white. I applied to all those schools, but the only school I truly wanted to go to was MSU.

Seriously? Neither school had a spelling test?
Applied to two schools(accepted to both): Michigan and MSU.
At the time I had no college allegiance; actually I wasn't really into college athletics until my freshman year at MSU. MSU gave me a great scholarship, made the decision very easy for me. I still laugh at my friends that graduated from UM with ~50k in debt when they could have gone to MSU for free.
For grad school(engineering) I applied:
MSU, UM, GTech, Florida, Texas, NC St. Was accepted to all but Texas(no idea why.. maybe because I don't own a gun??)... ended up going to Florida because I couldn't resist Tim Tebow (and my brother lives in tampa :).... they also gave me an assistanship so free tuition ).

Applied and accepted at Western and MSU.
Did not apply to UofM because...ann arbor is a whore.
I thought you applied to the school that offered at-home study. The one that Sally Struthers pimps on TV.
applied to MSU. got deferred because my senior year grades showed i was lazy. emergency-applied to GVSU. before i heard back, i was accepted to MSU and to this day i have no idea what GVSU's decision on me was, nor do i give even the most infinitesimal of fucks
"bzzzzzzzzzzz bzbzbzbbzbz" - bees
Your obsession is showing. Some of us didn't even apply to Michigan.
Where are you from in Toledo?
I was born a Spartan. There was no question where I was attending university.
I must be crazy to be in a loony bin like this.
Pitt (Math Scholarship)
Chose MSU because I had spent a lot of time visiting my firends there and I liked it.
A Bunch of small private colleges
Chose MSU because 1) it was where I always wanted to go 2) My next best option was IU (FORKS DOWN!!!!)
I was accepted to all three. Both my parents graduated from MSU, and I have been a Spartan fan since birth. But I chose Kettering because I really liked the idea of graduating with real-world work experience through the co-op program. They also gave me a better scholarship. At times I still wish I would have gone to MSU, but I really can't complain about the way things worked out.
Applied & accepted to
I was planning on going into journalism, which I could study at MSU and Albion (would have been an English major at Alma, but decided I didn't want to go to a school that was smaller than my high school). It came down to MSU or UM, but UM isn't exactly known for their communications programs and I didn't like their colorguard (or lack of a winterguard). I would have been one of those douches who just went to UM because it was Michigan, so I went with State and it was the best decision of my life. Plus, the degree I graduated with (professional writing) isn't even offered in Ann Arbor.

"This was a great Spartan day." --Walter Adams
Before you ask, yes, I am a girl.
dad wanted me to apply to northwestern since that is where he went
mum liked my choices but also wanted my to apply to Georgia Tech....
because I counted as being black.. and overseas... they all loved me!!! lol Florida state offered the bigger ride... but I was in love with MSU the moment I stepped on Campus...
Accepted everywhere I applied to: EMU, CMU, WMU, MSU, Ferris,
In the end, I choose MSU because it had the best business school, which was my projected major at the time.
Came back home (home, in many ways) to MSU after drinking myself out of UF
If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day.
I don't personally view you guys as different, primarily because you have a much closer affiliation with MSU than the Walmarts do with umaa.
If you want to get into an argument with them, then go ahead, but I will defend any spartan fan at all cost. We are just better.
"The price is wrong Bob"
where outside AA?
Humor aside, my wife went to UVI.
I've up voted every one who only applied to MSU as I did the same thing. I only cared about Michigan State.
