Looking to have these two pieces of basketball court (Jenison on left & Breslin on right) turned into a coffee table. I'm open to suggestions, but I think I would really like to see this constructed with a rustic, wrought iron look and have one piece be a raised base and the other piece obviously be the table top.
I'm not handy enough to do it myself, especially when it comes to welding wrought iron.
Serious takers PM me....others flame away!
Pay a homeless dude a couple of bucks to do it, and sing a song for you at the same time.

Any cabinate make or trim carpenter could do that for you. Look around your area for a furniture maker or custom wood shop. People that restore furniture also.

so your husband isn't handy?
No idea but I just have to +1 you for having those.
Oh boy, did anyone see you take those?!
Why not just buy a coffee table book that turns into a coffee table itself?
That's probably what I will do. Was just thinking there might be someone on the RCMB and local who might appreciate this. Last thing I need is some scUM fan that's gonna mess this up for me.
This guy's old man is a television repairman and has an ultimate set of tools. He can fix it.

I stopped reading after I read the above. A YOUNG man of 32 thinks he's old? [scratcheshead] WTH is he going to think he is when he's 40, 50 or even 60?
We are the SPARTANS and They are NOT!!! [spartan 2]
Exactly what I'm afraid of!!
Goodbar, if you're half as talented in carpentry as you are helmet designing, I would hire you in a second. Your craftsmanship is well documented.
I'm making mine into a bar.
he's better than just helmets. i let goodbar trim a spartan logo in my pubes. he does excellent work.
Just make sure whoever you have over respects wood.
you are like the spartan edward scissor hands.
I will do it. Arts and Crafts style. You'll have to ship to Georgia and I keep one.
Serious offer. See the woodworking thread for references.
Don't post poop!
Just send them to me....I'll take care of them for you...hopefully you dont want them back
Maybe blasphemous but they look like the perfect cornhole boards.
How does one go about obtaining Breslin floor sections? Care to sell one of them to a fellow spartan wanting to turn it into something cool ;)
Going with wrought iron may limit who you can find to do the work. If I were doing it I would go with a Mission or Craftsman style with green legs and white apron.
Who ever does it in what ever material and style you should get some picture close to what you want so that there is no miss-communication.
You can buy ready made legs in various woods and even wrought iron. If you go with wood go with paint grade. Cheaper and you do not need to try to match the color of the wood on the floor. Most wrought iron legs likely would not work to incorporate both pieces. The picture from the linked site might work depending on the look you are going for.

Was expecting pictures of Pergola Arbor.

It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Spartan!!!!
I'm very bitter, jealous and angry when I read this. Fuck both you guys.
Yeah figured, don't blame you...very jealous. If you plan on dying soon, will me a section
I have a guy in the Lansing area who has made my table, but they are mostly made with Maple. He's 82 and been doing woodwork for 75 years he told me!
Call me if you want the details
oh, +1 as well!
Likewise. My dad has been doing finish, trim and cabinetry for the past 30 years. He's in SE Michigan, Adrian to be exact.
He would have to hire out the iron work if you are set on the wrought iron.
