1.5 sacks and 5.5 TFL. There are tons of LBs ranked highly in those categories. I'm not asking him to be #1, just be in the top 50 in one of the categories related to tackling (which is afterall, the primary job of a MLB)
Bottom line: if his girlfriend and his grandpa didn't die, he's not a Heisman candidate. It's a sad story, I feel bad for him...but the fact that Bob Costas might jerk off to your sad story has nothing to do with being the best player in CFB.
If Suh couldn't win it with that crop of Heisman voters, Te'o doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell.
It was a down year for Heisman talent number one.. but it's going to be Manziel and it should be. Vegas has him as the overwhelming favorite 2/9 and Te'o at 5/2 is the only one in the ballpark. He will win by 300-350 votes. Manziel was playing consistently against the best defenses in the country and tore them up. Dude put up over 4,500 yards of offense in the SEC and surpassed the two best offensive players the SEC has ever seen (besides Bo and Herschel Walker) for a single season. He deserves it. Name a high-powered offense Te'o played against besides Oklahoma.. He was consistently stacking up against Navy, State, BYU, BC and Wake.. Klein did well with early voters, Te'o did well late and Manziel will have done well with early, middle and late voting crops.
In Sumlin's offense, the career numbers Manziel puts up will be staggering.
Doesn't Texas A & M have a rule about not letting Freshmen talk to the media? If that is the case, will he be allowed to travel to NYC to attend the announcement ceremony?

Manziel should win in a landslide.

Johnny Football should (and will) win. He has better numbers this season than Tebow had in his Heisman campaign. He's also a freshman. Pretty impressive, not to mention he tore up the best defense in the country.
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...
I love what Manti has done all year but Manziel has been unbelievable; I think he's the better player.
I can tell you who ISN'T winning it. Denard Robinson. That guy sucks.
