Why further waste my time? You give the MWC no credit, so of course you think they have no good wins. Hold up MSU wins and the teams they beat in the same light. You will say UM is a good win, but when you look at UM's wins, who have they beat? OSU once? They have a terrible loss and ny your standards beat nobody non con. OSU? Gave great win at IU, but got pounded by them at home. Got smoked at Wisconsin. Got routed by Illinois. Lost their only 2 non con games they played. You can play this game with every team, not just UNM. Play the games and see what happens
I think UNM is better than some people on here are giving them credit for, but saying that no B1G team would win at the Pit is ridiculous and destroys your credibility. South Dakota State beat them @ home but no B1G team could? Hell, Minnesota also played SDSU @ home. They won by 24. Do you think it's harder to play there than Breslin or Assembly Hall? Other B1G teams won at those places this year.
New Mexico is a pretty good team, but the fact is that the MWC is the #1 school in the RPI only because of that rating system's fatal flaw. Differentiation between teams ranked 150 and above.
UM and tOSU are in the top ten in virtually every kind of ranking you want to look at. I see you conveniently left Kansas off of your list as well. MSU, just like all #3 seeds should have, has some really good wins. Still waiting for your list of UNM good wins.
I'll keep wasting your time, since you don't want to look at the facts. UM's OOC wins are as good or better than any UNM have. At least they beat a ranked team OOC, at a neutral site. Then you'll knock OSU, with no losses to RPI 50+, beat MSU twice. You'll penalize OSU for losing big on the road to Wisky and Illinois, but then won't give them credit for close losses to Duke and Kansas. OSU won the conf tournament of the true #1 best conference. You also seem to think Illinois sucks, but they are as good as anyone in the MWC except maybe UNM, and they also have wins over two #1 seeds.
I'm just gonna bump this little beauty

Glad Steve Alford just signed a ten year extension
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...

So is he.
Thank you, Denicos.
Nice of you to cover your holes in your argument with using the term 'tourney team' as if they are all equal. Of those 15 'tourney team' games MSU has played, 9 are against the top 10 in the country. UNM didn't play one single elite team all year. Their schedule was pillow soft. Not one elite team OOC and no elite teams in conference. Plus 5 losses to unranked teams.
You also didn't truly, deep down, believe that the MWC is the second best, did you? I mean you actually thought they were better than the Big East? You realize UNM is the only team from that conference that is ranked, yes? Is that you, Steve Alford?
The MWC--and its not even up for debate, BEFORE the tourney started was unquestionably behind the Big Ten, Big East, ACC, PAC12, and Big12. Atlantic 10 more than likely, too. Just watch those MWC teams play. They are a jv league compared to the big boys. Your eyes dont lie, use them.
I suspect we won't be hearing from Iknownorethanyou much in this thread anymore!!

I must be crazy to be in a loony bin like this.
MWC with the stellar 1-3 record in the tournament so far, including the top 2 teams in conference losing to double digit seeds. #1 RPI conference my ass.
RIP ta da RPI.
I get too swayed by these kind of stats. New Mexico's best opponent was St. Louis at home. MSU played 9 games against higher ranked teams than that. They were 3-6 in those games. So they were 5-1 against the caliber of tourney teams that NM played, with no home losses. But the gargantubracket just says "vs. top 50" and this idiot sees that and puts three MW teams in the sweet sixteen.

Welp this was a blow to 2 of my brackets. Had them going to at least sweet sixteen.
I bought some batteries, but they weren't included... so I had to buy them again. What do batteries run on?
I could look past the fact that they lost 4 games to unranked teams, but only if they beat a few top ten ranked teams. But that fact that they only played one ranked team just cannot be looked past. When you play a schedule as tough as MSU's, that says a lot about your team even if you lose half of them. You get no "breaks" during the season by playing a crappy team here or there. Out of the 5 that made the NCAA tournament, there were 2 games vs top 25 teams (not counting games against New Mexico, of course becasue they're in the conference). 2 freaking games between 5 teams.
further proof what a shitty job the selection did with seeds. Too much trying to reward the little guy BS.
Yep, I usually make it out of the first round before my bracket goes to shit.
I'm a fan of the Lobos' program, they let me down!
The Bobos got fucking worked by an Ivy League team. Case closed!

I am here. Terrible loss for the Lobos. No excuse to lose to Amateur and the Crimson. Easily UNM's worst game of the year. Alford does a decent job in the regular season, but has absolutely no clue what to do in the tourney. Sticking with 2 bigs until the final minute of the game last night was just a horrific coaching job. Harvard ate them up with multiple guard offense, and Flex let them do it. Just an awful coaching job.
UNLV also has a brutal coach. That team is loaded with talent, and Rice let's them all think they are Marshall Henderson. Next play they run will be there first. Montgomery vs Rice was at least a 10 point gain for Cal. Best coach in that league is Eustachy!
Blah, Blah, Blah,
Where is the "I was wrong, you were all right" part of this post?
