I am truly happy as anyone that MSU won yesterday, especially against whisky and prefer to focus on the positives (defense, pass rush, WR play and 2 offensive drives). But, besides the last two drives I found the game highly unwatchable. I bit hard on the pre- season pundits predictions and have come to grips this season will go down as a lost opportunity. The D has kept the team in every game this year. Like others have said we could be 7-2 if, if @ if. But the reality is we have been anemic every week and could have lost a few games as well. Northwestern who puts up zilly points scares me as does any game that could be a shoot out. Fortunately the D has been so solid and consistent that likely won't happen.
I hope yesterday's late drives helps the offense breakout and State starts using the whole field. I hope the team rolls the next 3 opponents and earns an opportunity to play against a good team in a respected bowl game. And I especially hope the offense uses yesterday's late drives as the springboard to being more aggressive performing at a level more commensurate with our high achieving Defense.
Because winning cures everything.
You really have to ask why?
because 90% of the people on this board are morons.

But the other 20% are really smart.
