If you told me in August that this game was anything less than a 110 percent guaranteed win I would have told you to put down the crack rock and check into rehab. But these...are different times.
"Yes" - Dantonio
I cant believe that it has come to this. Minnesota, man. We are going to clinch all our buttholes in hopes of beating fucking Minnestota. Is this real life?
I cant wait for 2013 to start.
I can't believe we're an 8-point favorite. Is that just what it takes to get those pussy gopher fans to bet? If we score 20 in a game, it's a miracle. Who the hell have we beaten by 8 this year? We barely beat EMU by that much, at home!
Vim -- noun: robust energy and enthusiasm : VITALITY
We might not have to win, they don't have 70 teams to fill all 35 bowls right now so we could be picked as a 5-7 team to make a bowl this year. You got so many teams on probie...OSU,PSU,Miami FL,etc............
That about sums it up. Oh well... there's always next year.
As far as Minnesota. I'll go with MSU. I think they have more to play for plus somehow I think MSU will score around 20 points, still not great but MSU's defense will slow down their attack. If you look at their numbers anytime they've played a half-way decent defense they've been held to around 13 or 14 points. I believe MSU will do the same maybe even better.
Exactly. I've made a nice bundle this year betting against State to cover. I figured after the EMU game that MSU wasn't going to blow anyone away. I still thought they would win 7 or 8 games, but they were never going to cover the spreads given to them by Vegas. I don't think they can score enough to win by 8 this weekend either, but I certainly would not mind to be wrong.
8 point favorites is insane. I think we win this game 16-10.
I think MSU will probably win.
We're gonna put up like 56 and I'm gonna be pissed
I guess the oddsmakers think it will be 8-0 or 10-2.
I sure hope so... because the players want it, need it, and I have to believe have more veteran experience than Minnesota does.
Usually, in sports betting, when you are absolutely dead-on sure something's going to happen, the opposite happens. Watch State cover.
They're probably thinking 4 or 5 safties.
No. Similar to the rest of the year, our OLine struggles and therefore the offense struggles. 5-7
I sure fucking hope we have more integrity than to go bowling at 5-7.
I would start punching kittens.
tRCMB - Visit at your own risk of being disgusted.
Is that even possible? [Bowl game at 5-7]
Yes, if there aren't enough 6-win teams to fill bowl slots, the committees might have to invite a couple of 5-7 teams. And since no other five win team has a top-10 defense () we would look decent. I think.
I'd also be far too embarrassed to watch the game in public, or talk trash leading up to the game, or celebrate a victory in said game.
There is a bag of dicks with your name on it around here somewhere.
If MSU gets a bowl invite at 5-7, they should turn it down. They don't deserve a bowl game.
Yeah, a team with tons of young players on the offensive side of the ball should say "No thanks" to a bunch of extra practice time.
Ray Rice blows goats.
But being 6-6 by beating a bad Minnesota team makes all the difference. Jesus. If we really had integrity, we'd announce that this IS our bowl game.
then recruits couldn't come to the extra practices, this would kill recruiting
That's supposed to be our coaches' motivation to do their job during the year. Also, not getting fired.
