My thoughts exactly...
He probably is pissed that his star player Yahoo Serious didn't flop enough tonight...

1 for 7 from three. Three is still a major problem.
Keeping the sunshiners in check since 2000.
6 of 6 from the floor otherwise. Try being happy for a change.

I'm guessing he meant that to apply when the game is played in East Lansing. Don't know if it's true but that's how I took it.
Most of their "open" looks were after we had pulled away. In the first half they were smothered.
Not a problem if you don't shoot them. Stick with the FT line and in, Keith.
That leaves us a little thin in the 3 department, but Harris, and a little Payne/Trice can cover it.
Besides, if we check, which we have sans the previous 3 halves before last night, we won't need too much more than 60 most nights.
I'll give you that the open looks were in the second half but I don't think we had al ready pulled away. I believe they missed a lot of open looks and second and third chances during our crazy run that that stretched our lead from about five points to about twenty. Fortunately, we (mostly Appling) were hitting at that time. That's why it's called a run, right?
I'm not John Wooden or Tom Izzo, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night AND I coach my son's 7th grade team (non-school league).
I understand that sometimes a shooter has to shoot his way out of a slump, but if I've got a 7th grader who is shooting less than 15% from three there is no way he gets to shoot 7 in a game until he's starting to hit a better percentage. Furthermore, I ask the guys to pay attention to what's working and what's not. I think it's reasonable to expect game awareness of a 13 year old. Why not a 21 year old?
6 for 6 from 2, and 1 for 7 from 3 tells me that Appling, for the time being, needs to dramatically change his mindset. Driving and dishing is by far his greater asset and he has a much greater chance of getting to the foul line. "Appling shoots a three" is one of the things that has killed our O for the last few weeks. I'm not suggesting he should never shoot them, but they should never outnumber his tries from 2 unless or until he's drilling them with proficiency.
5 straight against Wisky is worth celebrating, and I was very, very happy for Keith last night, but I'm not sure he understands his strengths right now.
It was just a mistake;
I didn't mean to let them take away my soul.
Am I too old?
Is it too late?
This and even then those comments weren't really too bad. He also said in that part we did play aggressive defense and kept it up.
Funniest thing he said was "I never take a guy out because I am mad at him, only when they are tired". Kind of had a wry look on his face after. I think that was lost on most in that room at the time, although I am sure the Wisconsin beat writers caught it.
Think of early in the game when State was killing them for offensive rebounds, and Bo basically tried every big, white stiff he had dressed. Personally, I find Bo amusing. Although, if my son had only 1 basketball schollie and it was from UW, that would be a major problem. I can't stand watching them for 2 games a year, let alone 35.
Pointing out an obvious weakness doesn't mean I'm not happy band nerd.
Shoot 66% more free throws, get called for fewer fouls, bitch about the officiating
And saying Illi-noise
I thought it was a pretty fair assessment.
Regardless, Bo Ryan can eat a dick...
That was 8 seconds of a 285 second press conference. He also said Wisconsin missed open shots, MSU scored a lot in the paint on offensive rebounds and that the game was payed tough on the defensive end by both teams.
He looked pretty worn down. Is the used car market that bad right now?
Yeah, I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree that MSU getting away with raking was a major reason Wisconsin lost that game, rather than the Badgers shooting about 7% from the field for the majority of the second half.
PM Roundhead and ask.
