Forgot what I was going to say.
Thanks for noting the '90 GT game. Pathetic. Awful. Hideous. Terrible. Even the announcers were shocked by the call. I was in Fla with an old roommate, watching the game in Daytona. Pathetic. I think that was Jud's last game, too. What an insulting way for such a great coach to go out. I'm forever pissed at that call and that game.
Jud's last game was against Weber State, first round of the tournament.
Worst for me had to be the 1972 Olympic basketball "loss" to the Russians. Biggest screw job ever.
2nd and 3rd would be '86 Kansas "clockgate" and '90 GT Kenny Anderson time expired game winner.
"I love March!" - Tom Izzo
Yeah if you really want to talk about the biggest screw job ever it had to be the 72 Olympic game. The refs gave the Soviets like 3 do overs to win that didn't they?
The game was that important? We're talking worst call ever.
Hey dipshit, if MSU had won that game UM might've gone to Indy.
Or wait, nope they lost to Ohio State again, nevermind.
When I was coaching 5th/6th grade girls, this girl traveled badly and the 16year old ref didn't call it. Cost us the game, probably
No kidding. The US refused their silver medals they were so pissed off about it. A huge reason for us to always send our pros to the Olympics for all time.
All calls are judgement calls. the kid from butler even said he hit green daring the refs to call it. If you don't want to make the call don't referee.
That block call they just called on Trice might be in the running.
That was TOTAL BS! Now I have a hole in my wall I need to repair!!!
Just like football, these refs suck ass!
Not really. There was a major clipping penalty on his runback that 'made it a game' ..........that no call, right in front of the asshole side judge, still chaps my ass.
But hey, lets get back to the incidental trip and Desmonds cement hands.
You were within 5 years.......
Not a judgment call at all. It was a foul. Unfortunately, some crews swallow their whistles at the end of games .......unless there is a killing. Fact.
Bullshit. Refs have discretion. These Refs had no balls. Horrible call.
The Game(6) was played in LA, so it wasn't shocking to get totally screwed . This would have given the Pistons the first of 3 world titles.
Which reminds me of another atrocious call: Rasheed leaving Robert Horry to double the inbounds pass. What a douchebag!
Isiah's inbounds pass in the Garden in '86................UGH.

Actually it is a judgment call. Did she attempt a shot? Did she shoot within the allotted time ?(15 sec) If her intent was not to shoot, most officials will allow her to reset.........
Btw, its a girls game, lighten up for Gods' sake.
For me pylon gate, because it was a complete misinterpretation of a rule or ignorance of the rule. The refs on the field got it right, and the booth overturned it.
I think there's gonna be a 30 for 30 about it. Should be good.
Over the radio...during today's game...izzo shouted "that's the worst call I have ever seen!" to the ref...
This happened in the 2nd half, but can't remember what play it was.
I laughed at that. Appling stepped out of bounds on a rebound or something.
LATE PF on Sandeman hit, allowed Iowa to win it.

Different time of the game. What allowed Iowa to win was the missed INT by Rucker on last drive, and then of course, the last play where he had his finger in his nose.
