No. That was head to head.
Because it was head to head.
Which in itself is joke because his last movement was either simultaneous or within a second of the whistle blowing.
dead ball fouls are given 2 FT attempts?
"Put your mother in a straight-jacket you punk ass white boy." ~ Mike Tyson
The folks arguing that ANY elbow to a defender's face after a rebound should be a flagrant 1 remind me of the paparazzi who swear that they don't chase celebrities; celebrities run from them.
If the way that rule was called last night was right and proper, then you will absolutely see coaches teach their defenders to play for the foul.
I don't know if they were correct or not, but the announcers during the game said it was a dead ball technical - hence the shots.
There are plenty of fouls that are just dumb luck... So I guess yes. Do I think it should automatically be a flagrant? Not necessarily.
But the point is that some dudes throw elbows to clear space and it is dangerous, and somehow that should be disincentived. Ever played ball and had a dude start swinging those like crazy to the point where's everyone stands back and says "WTF, you're flipping crazy!!"?
The dudes on here who think that swinging elbows is the only way to get out of a trap are mind boggling. Unfortunately they're also coaching 7th grade hoops, probably having his team play 2-3 collapsed zone all game. Smh at Gob bluth
Again, no one is advocating swinging elbows.
How do you beat a trap? You step between the two defenders, with elbows out to clear space.
Fuck the head.

Also, Danny Ainge would clearly never survive in today's NCAA.
Thank you, Denicos.
