He actually called you Little Brother?
You really told him. Really sucks to be him. Guy got a free education to a better school, will probably get a NFL contract or two in his lifetime, and is beloved by millions.
But you really got him.
The Little Brother moniker transcends just football. It's apropos for the way you guys act. When you stop acting like one and comparing yourself to us all the time, it will no longer apply.
well played. No, the aisle is narrow in that bar and we had to sort of turn sideways to fit through. Instead of saying, "excuse me", he said what he said.
Cant believie he actually said that. I'v always thought he was probably a cool guy who just plays at the wrong school, but this changes that.
He sure did.
I'm sure his weak ass degree and losing to us 4 straight times really helps his cause.
does your little butt hurt?
I think it is so awesome that a person with your life challenges can use the internet, and has found a way to communicate with others.
+1 and best of luck to you!
I'm sure he's glad that an upstanding community college grad such as yourself is gracious enough to stand up for him.
LOL. Belittling from someone who had to travel all the way to OUR message board, find this thread, read it, egister, and then post that.
But you're all class, right? Blow me.
How did I act in that situation. My only "crime" was wearing an MSU shirt in AA. I didn't go out seeking anything. In fact, I was trying to play it cool because I was not on my "turf". I didn't say one word to him all night prior to that incident. In fact, the few times I had to walk by the booth he was sitting in with his friends, if we made eye contact I tried to give him a cordial head nod.
He was the childish one starting shit by making smart ass comments to a 30 year old man. So what if he goes on to the NFL? If you're a kid, you shouldn't run your mouth to grown ass men just because you can't beat the football team from the school the guy graduated from.
So go back to your maize and blue circle jerk over your punter-sized QB, toffee.
Beloved by millions? I didn't know there were that many defensive coordinators in the world... Oh and what is your U of M degree in?
Duh, he's a toffee magnet.
Marriage is like flying with kids, if the flight had 500 connections, never ended, Ted Striker were your pilot and you ate the fish.
Let's assume you can be unbiased for a few seconds.
If the OP is telling the truth (which his posting record here doesn't suggest he is lying), don't you think it's rude for Denard to say that to a complete stranger? Or anyone who goes/has gone to Michigan?
One would think that you would be chastising Denard for doing that, yet your defense is: "well you are our Little Brother"?
+1..........but I have to congratulate 'toffee'.....I didn't know Macomb Community College has internet access now....atta boy!!!
assuming you are a scUM fan/student/alumni
1.) don't assume your school is 'better', that is subjective. for the most part, we learn from the same text books. one could say my education in basic sciences at MSU was 'better', because ALL my classes were taught by PhD tenured faculty, whereas a majority of large lecture based basic sciences classes in AA are taught by GA's
2.) you can only judge things by comparing them to standards. its fair to compare one school or one team to another -its unavoidable and it is human nature. since our schools are so intertwined at every level, its only natural to compare the two. the difference is that your school has a history of unearned arrogance and self entitlement, and therefore you think you have some sort of god given right to judge yourselves above all others, regardless of the facts.
3.) you realize that everyone hates your school, right? its like being the Redwings or the Yankees or the Cowboys -bandwagon fans love you and everyone else despises you. But thats ok when you are a Redwings, Yankees, or Cowboys fan. Because, you know, those teams have won championships.
Thanks to toffee, I'll be out of up votes by 1:00.

For the record, and in Denard's defense, I don't think it was intended as being overly mean spirited. He wasn't trying to be a dick. He was just a kid running his mouth. That's all.
This was meant just to be a funny story about a totally random experience I had last night. It wasn't really intended to be a "let's bash Shoelaces as a bad guy" thing. I'm sure, overall, he's cool 99% of the time. All of us, however, are prone to douchy moments.
Give the lil fella a break, not only does his butt hurt, but he's got a wicked stiff neck from looking up at MSU in the standings.

Damn IPhone, can someone up-vote Alcibiades for my clumsy ass thumbs...sorry Al. Go Green.
Oh, and fuck toffee.
I read the tone as he was screwing around, but I'm not sure what kind of reply he should expect when he throws out that term. You responded as anyone would (and should).
