So now that they've released the mini-pad, does that make the original one the maxi-pad?
Not true. But whatever you want to believe.
That doesn't make sense.

Name one stand alone GPS that has cellular service? Or even wifi?
I see your point, if I bought a wifi only device it would mostly be used at home so GPS wouldn't matter.
Correct me if I am wrong, most of the map data is pulled to the device so very little space is taken up on the device. A stand alone GPS has a couple GB card that has map data.
Most tablets have 8GB-16GB of storage, and you can pull down the map data prior to your trip.
App have maps pre-loaded. NAVIGON, TomTom, etc.
But if your point was the a GPS is marginally useful because apps can't pull down mobile data, I'd agree with that.
I figured they pulled the data down. That is exactly what I was saying.
Can you touch them back to back and share your playlist thingy?.
Probably not, but I bet Apple is trying to patent that!
There's something gay about two men touching phones. NTTIAWWT
Those were men?
Apple is not going to patent anything in direct conflict with iTunes. Apple wants everybody to get their music from iTunes and pay for it. They will not create an avenue for people to share play lists when they want everybody paying individually to get their music off iTunes.
Ding ding ding.

Doesn't mean they won't patent it. Just because they won't use it doesn't mean they won't patent it.
iPad Mini pre-sale began last night. Apparently the white version sold out in 15 minutes, but the slate one is still available.
I'm sure the slate pre-order will eventually sell out, but this release seems very lackluster.
Talking bad about Apple pre-releases? Say goodbye to your modship status.

Using a tablet for GPS seems strange to me.
Why not just use your smartphone?
See you at the studio later.
apple is not interested in NFC until it can used to pay for stuff.
The thing about that is that nobody really knows how many of each color Apple produced / had available for pre-order and immediate shipment. It is possible they made less white because there have been production issues with white in the past. Also people might have wanted white since the black one might be more susceptible to scratching, like the iPhone 5.
What makes an internet pre-sale lackluster? Something is either available or sold out/delayed shipping.
At this point I've decided choosing a better product based on iPad sales is like deciding the better college team in Michigan by Wal Mart t shirt sales. Of course it sold out, they're going to sell millions. For a consumer that actually does their research will see they are paying way more than they need to. The mini is not $130 better than its main competition.
You mean used to pay for stuff in more locations and without Google Wallet. Google wallet is already in place at Meijer, CVS, Macys, Old Navy, Sunoco, some BP's, etc. Definitely not mainstream, but it's spreading pretty damn quickly. Apple does not want to contribute to Google's profits. That's the only reason NFC isn't in new Apple products.
