The difference between our D and Michigan's D is not as obvious as some of you delusional purists believe. Toss out the Bama game, and their pts against per game is lower than ours (as opposed to just 2 pts more when Bama is included).
Some of you people need to wake the fuck up.

Too bad a lot of them are Spartan "fans".

17-13 MSU. Only way we have a chance is to keep Armpunt in tact and MSU has done that recently. Still wish we had an offense. Maybe it will break out Saturday?
Ohio State is better than any offense they have faced this year. Indiana is also one of the better offenses in the big ten.
People act like Michigan's defense is so stout. Ooooohhh Jake Ryan! I'm so scared. Remember when people thought Kovacs was a beast? He isn't. They aren't even in the top 3 defense we have played this year.
Why are we just throwing out the game against the best team they played? Michigans competition hasn't been that good outside of bama and ND.

Burbridge is going to have a big game.
Not buying the Indiana nonsense.
And you need to shut the fuck up and back to your home on whore island.
There's a time and a place for everything and it's called college.
they looked pretty impressive against ohio state
Because the Alabama game, statstically, is an anamoly. They would've beaten us by the same margin (actually fuck that, we'd never been able to score 14 pts on them).
I think thats more of a indictment on how bad Ohio State really is. Mind you, Ball State beat Indiana - in Bloomington!! IU is garbage and its embarassing that we're having to give them so much credit for 2 conference losses.
It's hard to see a pathway to a MSU victory. I think UM is better today than game 1 while I can't say the same about us which is not been the case over the Dantonio years. UM is out for blood on us this year and we don't have the offensive weapons to counter that this year.
Indiana's offense was still pretty good against Ball State. It is their defense that is the problem.
They also scored 7 more points against MSU than any other team this year; a full 10 more points than even Ohio State's great O managed. They did so without turning MSU over; aka, no defensive TDs.
IU has no D. Their O is pretty solid though .
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
I'm more worried about MSU's lack of offense than anything. If MSU can get it together and can contain armpunt, then there is a good chance for a win.
I need more room for my signature
And the B1G's worst offense always gives you a chance to lose. I for one will be entirely unsurprised by any result Saturday afternoon.
What great defense? The one that gave up 27 to Indiana in a half or the one that couldn't get off the field with the game on the line against both OSU and Iowa? Or the one that has 2 sacks on the year?

but the kids are playing their tail off and the coaches are......
If IU could recruit just middle of the road they might have something. Their playcalling on offense is nothing short of fabulous.
Don't post poop!
This takes me back. I remember arguing with " MarylandSpartan" two years ago. They really spend a lot of time defending UofM for a poster that rarely posts.
Me too. The O must sustain some drives and come up with points...preferably TDs. TOP is going to be very important to keep our D rested so they don't wear down. Nardawg has to keep fresh bodies in the game if the O stagnates with a number of 3 and outs early. Getting some TOs off of Armpunt mistakes to give us gift points, or at least favorable field position to start drives with, would take the pressure off of Max and his posse to not have to try and sustain long time consuming drives...which I don't think this O can do despite Bell. I think we'll need at least 3 TDs to win this...however we get them. Max must have a solid game...this is his first start aginst SCum and it's at the Big Outhouse...a daunting task. He doesn't have to be great for MSU to win...but he definitely can't suck. I can see our D possibly holding them to 20 points...but can MSU get 21 is the $64,000 question? Offense has to overcome being "Roushared", and the secondary cannot let Armpunt beat them deep with his patented wounded duck receiver comes back to the ball tosses.
I think this game will mirror this year's ND-SCum game in that it will be a hard hitting defensive battle with the team that executes best winning.
