Personally, when I watch, I like him. He had 18 assists and 0 turnovers until late in the game tonight. Ended with 2 TOs. Can't really beat that.
Who should we draft? Saw one mock draft taking Oladipo. Fuck Indiana, but I don't mind that.
I like the pieces below..just got to drop the dead weight in Stuckey, Charlie V, etc.
"If you're worried about Wolverine fans, just move to Pasadena. You'll never have to deal with 'em."
I say sign him. Since he's been here, Knight has turned into a solid scorer (30+ tonight) since he doesn't have to distribute. Pray that Stuckey gets it together and fulfills his potential at the 2 guard along with Knight, or trade him, and the immediate future is very bright.
Edit: Resign him, as he's on a one year deal

Fuck Stuckey. He's dead weight.
Crucial loss against the Hornets tonight, gotta make up ground in the lottery.
Really hoping Shabazz Muhammed drops to us... A potential star SG who can play SF is just what the doctor ordered...
Someone is rocking a State hat and what I assume to be a Draymond GS jersey 2 rows up near the Pistons bench. Nice.
Looks like this team has given up completely. 37 point loss at home to Brooklyn to extend the losing streak to 9.
How anyone would justify attending a Pistons game to watch the home team at this point defies any logic. 'Team' is in full don't give a damn mode, and for the 3-4 pieces I want to keep around and attempt to build on I feel for. But hey, we'll see Charlie V's fat ass still doing nothing in 2013-14 since Dumars signed him to his completely undeserved contract. Stuckey? See yeah later!
Drummond has been out since before the All Star break. Knight has been out the last 3 games,
Just ready for the draft at this point...
Otto Porter or Shabazz
"You make sure when you come, you got a little blood in your eye, a little blood in your eye, a little fire in your belly. We there yet?"
They've given up. Is Frank even coaching anymore? Or is Hill? Since Drummond and Knight are gone no one gives any effort, so I don't bother watching.
I think this was Frank's first game back.
The reality is they are just not good enough right now. They try for like the first quarter and a half, by then they're down 20 and they quit. Khris Middleton has been the only positive the last couple weeks, He looks like he can be a competent shooter.
Monroe on defense is a complete liability. He is so slow and unathletic, if he doesn't have Drummond there to erase his mistakes it's ugly.
Pistons are going to stop the Heats streak tonight. You heard it here probably not first but I still believe it.
Pistons playing tough tonight in Miami. Would love to see them win it cuz I'm sick of ESPN talking about the streak
no amount of try-hard or heart is going to stop lebron tonight

The Pistons should bring back the players from the 90s that could actually compete with the rest of the NBA.
They suck. bad.
No excuses for how bad they are playing. At this point, if Joe doesn't make wholesale changes to get rid of the dead weight and bring in players who give effort, he should be fired and this thing should be blown up with Drummond being the only survivor.
This falls squarely on Frank and the veterans, including Monroe... Drummond has been injured, yes, but a rookie going down shouldn't end the season... Knight has been fighting through injuries, but he doesn't put up great stats, some one should be able to step up and fill the void.
Maxiell has been shit, has TWO double digit rebounding games since February and he's been starting and playing 25 minutes a game... Stuckey, if he ain't scoring he ain't interested. He needs to be bought out or traded this summer. He gives absolutely no effort besides trying to get his... and Monroe, he complains after the game about effort, but when you watch the games, he's not stepping up on defense. He's the main reason Knight got nailed to the floor by DeAndre Jordan. And Charlie V probably needs to be released after he picks up his option this summer, or maybe you can flip his contract for another expiring contract, maybe with Stuckey since they will both be expiring for a vet that gives effort. He's a guy who can win you a game with his offense or he's a guy who does nothing for you if his shot isn't falling. He's not a bad teammate, doesn't complain, works hard at practice, but this team needs a consistent effort from each and every player every night.
At this point, Knight and Drummond should be the only untouchables. And yes, I know Knight isn't doing enough on O, but he works hard on D every single night and is willing to take on any challenge. He's easily the hardest worker on the team.
Calderon, there's a reason his teams never win, he's a turnstile on D... but he can distribute and at this point, we need a point guard who run a pick a and roll. You don't break the bank for him, but for 2 years he can be serviceable while a PG is groomed, whether it be Knight or another draft pick.
Yeah, I'm happy with the higher draft pick but a few shorts months ago it seemed as if this team had really made some strides this year. Somewhat disappointing, season just needs to end. I know Gores can't be happy.
Are they able to amnesty anyone anymore, or has that ship sailed?
I don't think anyone
If I can, I would amnesty Stucky, buy out Charlie V, and let Maggette, Bynum (though if I'm bringing back anyone here, it's Bynum) Calderon, Maxiel walk.
Since getting rid of everyone isn't possible, They'd probably keep, or need to keep:
Go into the draft with a lottery pick. I'd draft Oledipo if possible, and sign a vet back up PG who is not named Calderon....someone like Darren Collison maybe?
Go into next year with a really young team, and hope they gel....and if they don't? Get a nice draft pick again next year and keep trying to get that star.
1. Knight, Collison
2. Oledipo, English
3. Singler, Middleton
4. Monroe, Jerebko
joe d with cap room =
can't wait to see who he overpays this summer.

Why would you amnesty some one who's on the last year of their contract? No big time free agent will want to sign with Detroit and they already have enough room for Calderon.
If you hold onto their contracts there is a chance you can ship them off to a team looking to unload a disgruntled player and might be looking for cap space for 2014. Even if you ban them from the team, you still might be able to package their contract with a young player like Monroe for a all-star caliber player with a larger contract.
I would agree....those are the useable parts going forward. The huge needs for next year are a legitimate PG and a offensive-oriented SF who can stretch the floor and keep defenses honest. Add some depth and the team could be decent. But even this list of players show the problem - the Pistons lack talent. It's not as much as matter of needs as it is a matter of a lack of NBA talent. With cap space, it strikes me that no player should be untouchable in a discussion given that reality.......
