he did add (not intended to be a factual statement) at the end of his post though
holy hell, I know it's the internet, but how did you not pick up the sarcasm?
Shelley Duncan is garbage until he does what he did last September over a full year.
It scares me that our best option in left is Shelley fucking Duncan. We really don't have anyone better?? Damn Sizemore had to go and get injured yet again (not that I'm surprised)
Well its official now that Jack "Leather Flashing" Hannahan will start at the hot corner for opening day, but I guess this wasn't shocking consider the optioning of Lonnie to AAA. Good for Jackie, I really like him alot, well mainly his glove, but if he can hit .250-.260 he wil be fine. But it is concerning to see Lonnie back in triple AAA. Looks like the Indians being in contention and forcing his early minor league exit may have hurt his development. Like I said before, this team goes as far as the development of him and kipnis go,
boy this sure get me excited for another season.
Indians Close To Acquiring Bobby Abreu
By Mark Polishuk [March 29 at 8:34pm CST]
The Indians and Angels are "on [the] verge" of a trade that would send Bobby Abreu to Cleveland, reports Jon Heyman of CBS Sports (via Twitter).

Jim Morrison (1943-1971)
Getting rid of Trevor Crowe? I'd rather have him than some guy on the downside of his career.

Ahhh the joys of being an Indians fan!
Holy crap! This thread actually now shows up when I search "Cleveland Indians" in tSF! You wouldn't think that would need to be something that is celebrated...
Anyway, Bastian reporting that Abreu talks have ended...much to the surprise of no one.

Just realized I have an IR exam at 3 on Thursday and coincidentally the Indians opener is at 3 on Thursday. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
No work or class for me. Indians on the laptop and The Masters on TV. Living the life.
I have iss at 3. Unfortunately I have to attend but I will definitely be watching the game on my laptop.
Question for all of the Indians fans posting in here: are you guys all originally from Ohio/Cleveland area? If not (from Michigan or elsewhere), what made you guys Indians fans as opposed to Tigers?
I was born in Saginaw and raised in Lansing but my Dad was born and raised in Cleveland so essentially I was brainwashed. My Grandma and my Aunt still live there so I frequent Cleveland probably more than I do Detroit
Born and raised in South Haven but my grandfather and his family are from Cleveland and got to me at an early age. It also helped that this was the mid to late 90s Indians and not the 2000s Indians.
"In case you haven't noticed, and judging by the attendance you haven't, the tribe have managed to win a few here and there are threatening to climb out of the cellar."
"Haywood's a convicted felon isn't he Monty? Uh, it doesn't really say that here. Well, he should be."
From this week's Hey Hoynsie:
"The Indians have been terrible this spring. They've looked flat and uninspired. It reminds me of spring 2009. The Indians went 12-20-3 and lost 97 games during the regular season. It cost manager Eric Wedge his job."
This year is a year where you get to stay "Spring Training doesn't matter."
born in Akron, grew up in Michigan. That 1994 season - the first season that I actually remember being able to think for myself and understand what was going on - drew me in forever.
Grandpa saw Feller v. Spahn in the '48 World Series.
It's been in my family for generations.
It was an easy choice.
I think HOynes tends to be a bit of an alarmist at times.
That said, I don't think we'll be very good this year. I can see 82 or 83 wins, but i'd be surprised with anything more than that.
If Pomeranz flourishes in Colorado and Ubaldo continues to suck, I will not be a happy camper.
For some reason I'm not expecting much this year either. Particularly if the Tigers get off to a strong start.
I'm cautiously optimistic. I think the teams ceiling is 85 but I could easily see 70 wins. I think the over under is 74.5. I would take the over hard just because of all the injuries that occurred last year and we still managed 79 wins, but only time will tell.
Ubaldo just plugged his old teammate Tulo which ended in a benches clearing brawl. I like it. Gives em some fire before the season starts.
