I would definitely be ok with that move. I'm a big fan of Kipnis and feel like him in the 8 spot batting behind retards that couldn't hit the ball with a bat the size of a car is a huge waste of his talent. I wouldn't mind seeing Hanahhan being moved out of the 9 hole as well.
Shit I'd probably buy the premium in a few days when I close on my house.

That's what I have. It's awesome. Watch games on my Xbox when at home, computer if in class, and on my phone if I'm out. It rocks.
I can't stop laughing at the retards remark. +1 to you good sir
Tonight's game postponed due to snow. Fuck you mother nature
I hate Acta's managing so far this season
Kipnis got his feet wet last year and handled it very well. This team is not going to be a contender. No need to take away at bats from him in the 8 hole.
On a bright note, Lake County seems to have a lot of talented young guys on their roster this year.
I'm interested to see the development of LeVon Washington, Bryson Myles, Alex Lavisky, and of course Francisco Lindor.
Washington has been said to have a lot of untapped talent. He's off to a very nice start. Lindor's not playing too bad either. If prospects like those play well, you've got to wonder how long they'll stay in the Midwest League.
Serious question for Tribe fans:
How would you compare Acta as a manager to Eric Wedge when he was in Cleveland?
Surprisingly I think they are quite similar.
Acta > Wedge
The Tigers have been playing phenomenal baseball right now. Hell, they even got a decent start out of porcello, but it is really inflating Tigers fans image of themselves. As I will say time and time again baseball is a law of averages, granted some averages will be better than others. But to think that the Tigers can honestly go 35-5 is insane. Just because they are off to a 4-0 start does not change one thing about projected wins. I still have at 93 just like I still have us, optimistically, at 85. It just pisses me off when people start galavanting around like they are something special after 4 games. Sorry Rant over.
The Tigers look really good. Like scary good. It's not the Tigers that I hate, it's their fans. They are impressively good at hiding their lifelong loyalty to the Tigers. I didn't know that I knew so many die hard Tigers fans that have lived and died with the team since they were old enough to understand baseball. I was also unaware that these people are now better than me because they are 4-0. I also do not recall asking for numerous texts about the outcome of every Tigers game, as if it somehow affects me. I guarantee I could name more Tiger players from pre-2008 than 85% of my "die hard Tiger fan" friends. I have no issue with the gracious Tiger fans who suffered through the rough times and appreciate their owner's willingness to spend money on players, because some of us are not so lucky to root for teams with owners that care. It's the bandwagoners that jumped aboard as soon as the Tigers were good that drive me insane. anyone?
couldn't have said it better myself
That describes every fan-base in the world.
"Put your mother in a straight-jacket you punk ass white boy." ~ Mike Tyson
+1 nailed it on the head. Frankly, that speil can be reworded to explain nearly every fan base that has seen dry years. The Tigers fans, and the Lions fans for that matter, are coming out of the woodwork like never before though. I can totally second the part on getting texts from friends about the Tigers game. But I guess that just comes with the territory of living out of market. I guarantee I watched more Tigers games than most of my friends that are Tigers fans. (When I'm at work its the only thing on TV. I just put Tom Hamilton on the Radio )
As for how good they look. Yeah they look scary good but to even think about going 35-5 is blasphemy. Thats exactly the over inflated ego we are talking about. I would still take the Rays, Yankees, and Rangers over them.
Exactly. This just in: fans like to cheer for teams that win more than they do for teams that stink. Every fan base has this. That's why stadiums are so big- because like it or not, there aren't enough die-hards to support teams on their own.
I assume the Jake is still selling out every game like they did in the 90s when the team was good right? If not, what happened to all of those fans?
My biggest quibble, which I state in my previous post, is that because the Tigers are 4-0 it changes everything. Someone just started another "How many games will the Tigers win thread." Why do you need another when everyones answer should be the exact same? I will say this time and time again BASEBALL IS A GAME OF AVERAGES!!!
Ok anyway I'm done ranting on this topic. J Nasty is on the hill today and ready to deal. The line up is Brantley CF Cabrera SS Choo RF Santana CA Hafner DH Duncan LF Kotchman 1B Kipnis 2B Hannahan 3B, which is the same as yesterdays.
That was the OSU writer who must have some sort of quota that he has to meet in regards to starting sports related threads over here. He starts like 4 random sports threads a week and never returns to them after the first post.
Sweet. 5 batters in and I'm about done watching this game...
Yep, really glad I rushed home from work during my lunch break to watch this beauty...
the camera can't get back to the game quick enough before hafner hacks at 3 pitches for a K
didn't miss that fastball
Brantley hitting a solid .063.
There you go Pronk. Nice piece of hitting there.
Duncan and Kotchman. Rally killers.
