First game of season is on! Rangers at Astros. Houston's first game as part of the AL. That's weird.
Worse uniforms: Houston Astros or Notre Dame basketball?

Astros aren't that bad.
Astro fans already booing Berkman in his first PA. Nice.
Side note, glad the Cardinals won't have to face Bud "Cy" Norris as frequently anymore. A Cardinal killer.

First close play of the MLB and first blown call.
Officiating stinks in every sport.
When I'm not obsessing about the tigers this year I will be watching what happens in the AL East. That division will be highly contested from start to finish.
Giants vs. Dodgers in the NL West will be a good race too. Magic's team is loaded.
Go tigers! Go reds! Hope they meet up in october
Those of you who took the Astros to score the first runs of the season can collect your winnings.
Very, very selfishly hoping for Tigers vs Nats in the World Series.....

Strasburg vs JV twice in a World Series?
And Tigers vs. Orioles in the ALCS.

Let's try this: Baseball over/under wins for 2013. Pick 3 you'd bet most money on, provide explanation if you want, and we'll laugh at our picks at the end of the season.
*Blue Jays 86½ ov -115 / un -115 --> UNDER. I know they made huge moves in the offseason, but between the tough division, the fact that a lot of the guys they picked up don't have a ton of big game experience in September and October, I don't see it happening.
*Athletics 83 ov -110 / un -120 --> OVER. Really like the pitching staff. Terrible division (Houston is dreadful, Seattle is mediocre, LAA and Texas I think are overrated). I think they win the division.
*Dodgers 90 ov -115 / un -115 --> UNDER. Maybe the most interesting team in baseball. Really old team that will not meet expectations.

Saw this gem somewhere. Houston Astros are the only undefeated team in the history of the American League.
Twins-64.5 Under- Worse pitching staff? Check. Worse lineup? Span and Revere becoming Parmelee and Hicks? Check. KC and Cleveland better? Check. And all I need is 3 fewer wins? Done
Seattle- 76.5 Over- I would've considered this just off the fact that Houston is now in the division. Now they've moved the fences in and have a slightly better lineup.
Tampa Bay- 86- Over- Yes the division's stronger. However I like Tampa Bay's lineup. Wil Myers will come up at some point. They have the best staff in the divisions (with plans b, c, d, e, f, and g all in the wings in case of injury). Also has everyone forgotten they won 90 games last year with Longoria only playing in 74?
I think it's going to be an enjoyable year to have friends who are Yankees fans. At the very least, it'll be fun to watch them panic before guys start coming back from injuries.
Wasn't that technically true prior to the game as well?
Kershaw owned the Giants this afternoon and I think he homered. Wonder how much his contract will be?
Rays' bullpen blows a 7th inning lead on Opening Day. 7-3 Orioles
Evan Longoria has made two amazing plays at third so far.
