Expecting a lot of trades tonight in the first round sounds like half the top 10 want out of it, while plenty of others are looking to move up.

Really hope the Lions end up trading out of the top ten. I suspect Lane Johnson or Zeke Ansah will be around at picks 11, 12, 13 so if they could get such trade I'd be excited about it.
Watch them trade up to number 3 to pick Dion Jordan.
Players I would like the Lions to draft: Joeckel, Fisher, Milliner,
Later rounds: Honey Badger, Gholston, Sims
Sounds like Philly is in love with Lane Johnson at #4.
Would love to see Eric Fisher fall to the Lions at 5, or I hope they trade back in between 10-20.
San Fran also wants to move up to take Millner, if he's there at 5, I wouldn't mind the Lions moving back there if they get a haul of 4 or 5 picks in the top 2 rounds between this year and next.
There is increasing speculation that the Eagles will select Lane Johnson with the No. 4 pick in the first round when the NFL draft kicks off Thursday night.
Could the first pick be Fisher? In the last 24-48 hours I have seen more and more of this...
Just saw this mentioned in an ESPN article as well.
I wonder if they were to take Fisher, and say the Jags and Raiders don't take tackles. Could Joeckel slip past Philly?
I would really like to see the Lions take an OT at 5 if they stay there.
The decision on which player the Chiefs will pick at No. 1 has been made, with general manager John Dorsey telling ESPN that he and coach Andy Reid are in 100 percent agreement.
That isn't really going to happen, is it?
That would be great.
But lets be honest. The Lions needs to take receivers with their first three picks.
Possibly. Fisher has impressed scouts since the end of the season, and he seems to have a very good skill set.
This might be a nice selling point for Enos when talking to recruits as well.
This really sounds like the classic NFL draft smoke screens that you hear about every year. Joeckel is going number 1
WR is a position of need for the Lions
i only care about spartans --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqsAJQc-NCY
It is but not before the 5th round. 5th-7th I'm okay with WR
A man's gotta eat!
After Millen, there is no way a Lions draft can be discussed without mentioning receivers.
Agree with this 100%, but sadly it sounds like they will take one in the 2nd or 3rd rounds.
Edit: Which I would be OK with if they traded down and picked up and extra 2nd or 3rd rounder and used that extra pick on a WR.

as a J-E-T-S jets jets jets fan.... I am looking forward to heartily booing whoever we pick... followed by proclaiming he is useless and we should have picked someone else......
and we get to do it twice tonight!!!!
Is Manti Te'o going to be at the draft?

Don't be surprised if the Lions end up with Luke Joeckel at #5. You heard it here first.
Man, I wanted to say, "How could you tell?", but I remember reading he will not be there.
Thank you, Denicos.
He's going with Lanai
I would be satisfied with this selection.
Also, surprised as hell.
Too bad, that would have been some real good entertainment...His dumb ass + crazy New York fans + tons of cameras = jokes
If this source is as "plugged in" as the piece claims, this could be good news for the Lions (assuming they want to trade down).
He West Virginia receiver Tavon Austin could be riding that rocket all the way to the top 10.
Most mock drafts have the Lions picking Milliner. A well needed position. In my lf 26 years the Lions have never had a single shutdown corner.
Peter King already said Joekel is going first
Who really knows how it all will go down, but it seem to me like the top 5 prospects are the three OTs and the two DEs - I'd be happy with any of them. I am seriously thinking that the Lions might want Tavon Austin, though - it wouldn't be a popular move, but there isn't much at the skill positions in this draft.
I also think it's highly unlikely that the Lions could trade down. We are in a bad spot, and nobody else wants to be there either - we are right in between the top tier (Fisher, Joekel, Ansah, Jordon) and a bunch of ho hum 1st rounders.
