If Mayhew doesn't draft an OL or a player in the secondary he deserves to be ripped.
I don't see him being there at 5

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, a guard "WILL" be among the first 10 selections Thursday evening.
"Book it," Schefter confidently tweeted. Both UNC's Jonathan Cooper and Alabama's Chance Warmack have been connected to numerous teams in the top-ten, and Schefter clearly has reason to believe it's not all baseless speculation. The Lions reportedly "love" Cooper, while Warmack has been linked to both the Lions and Cardinals.
as a jets fan I would love chase womack at 9..... and geno smith at 13..... but that is probably a pipe drea,...
ESPN has him dropping to #7. Who knows! Haha

If I was a Jets fan I would want to stick with Sanchez for another year and wait for next years QB class.
Rogue Leader= Obese coward who didn't attend MSU and has no college degree
Sanchez has zero weapons. Not one guy scares anybody on that team. You need numerous picks. I would keep 13 and trade down for more picks. You need weapons.
If they really wanted someone in the secondary, they could have traded their 1st round pick for Revis. Corners aren't worth it, especially not Miliner. I like the way he plays, and think he would be a good fit actually, but he can't even return kicks or anything else. If we pick him, fine, we do need help in the secondary, but I just don't think that position warrents such a high pick. I'm hopeing for one of the tackles or one of the DE's - we've got nobody at DE right now.
I think that he likely would be taken before the Lions get to pick but hopefully I am wrong.
I get where you're coming from, but the Lions really have a need at corner. We have one of the worst secondaries statistically in the NFL for the past four years. That's a problem and needs to be fixed. That should mean getting a young corner who runs a really good forty, was coached by Saban who has an NFL pipeline, and who has tremendous athletic ability. If that means overdrafted Milliner, I'm okay with that this year. If it really isn't worth drafting him that early, trade down for later in the first round.
I'm just really hoping for an OL or a corner. If we don't get one or the other in the first round, I won't be happy.
I wouldn't be entirely against a DE in the first round either, especially if we trade down.
I know some people have been saying this, but I don't see the need for another dlineman. I understand Vandenbosch and Avril are gone. But we still have Fairley and Suh anchoring that line. Maybe get someone like Gholston in the second or third round. I would be okay with that.
That's another thing - I really think that the notion of trading down is a fantasy - people say "trade down" every year and it never happens. Now - if Joeckel is there, yea, some teams might be looking to trade up, but unless that happens trading down is a pipe dream
I would agree with that as well. They shouldn't be worried about next year, because I think it's quite clear they're not going anywhere this year. It should be about getting picks for next year when they will most likely pick a "franchise" QB.
Yea trade down is something everyone loves the idea of. but rarely do teams love a guy enough trade up.
I blame the patriots for making it so popular, now every team always says, "trade down!!!!!"
Don't care if posted, hilarious video of reporter interviewing draft fans about fake players:
got the NFL Network live stream up. gonna get real
LOL, a bunch of hats were just carried off a bus in glass cases. The NFL has reached Spinal Tap level.

Who goes first? Joekel or Fisher? been all over the place in the past 24 hours.
Sounds like Fisher is the pick, few different sources saying Joeckel has been informed he won't be the pick.
Are you comfortable drafting a corner at #5 who has had 5 surgeries already, and may not even be ready for the start of training camp? Im not
Lions considering trading up? Please no.
