Signing begins today at 4 PM. Cliff Avril is listed as the #1 available FA on a few different sites I've seen.
M.NFL.COM - The Official Mobile Site of The NFL
@RapSheet: Continue to hear the #Browns are the favorite to land pass-rusher Paul Kruger. Lot of time left until 4 tho. But that would be a splash
Detroit is pretty much after every free agent Safety according to all of the reports and might likely end up with nobody because of no cap room.
@MoveTheSticks: Hottest name I keep hearing is TE Jared Cook. He's going to break the bank. #FreeAgency

The Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson is hearing there's a "good chance" the Colts will sign free agent Cliff Avril.
Wilson acknowledges "nothing concrete yet." Our prediction on the top free-agent pass rushers at this point would be Paul Kruger to the Browns, Avril to the Colts, and Dwight Freeney to the Broncos, with Michael Bennett, Osi Umenyiora, and John Abraham still up in the air. Elvis Dumervil could soon join this market.
Profootballtalk.com reports the Lions are the "likely winners" on free agent Reggie Bush.
Bush to Detroit has been perhaps the second worst-kept secret of free agency, behind only Mike Wallace to Miami. PFT's Mike Florio reports Bush would push Mikel Leshoure for the Lions' starting job, and the two would definitely work in tandem. If the Cardinals feel they've lost out on Bush, Bruce Arians' club could begin to put a full-court press on free agent Rashard Mendenhall.
Lions interested in S Dashon Goldson and Glover Quin
Rogue Leader= Obese coward who didn't attend MSU and has no college degree
@ProFootballTalk: Speculation mounts that Ed Reed will be a 49er http://t.co/A7KWs1gnSG
Bucs also interested in Goldson they have a shit load of cap room and Detroit doesn't if it becomes a bidding war The Bucs will win out. Quin will be a cheaper and more realistic option for The Lions.
Free agent K Jason Hanson has decided that he wants to play another season.
Hanson will turn 43 in June and has 21 seasons under his belt. But he was solid once again last year, making 18-of-22 field goals from 40-plus yards out and 32-of-36 overall. Hanson previously said he'd be willing to re-sign with the Lions for the veteran minimum of $940,000.
FWIW for the Lions i've already heard they have interest in LaRon Landry at SS and would then move Spievey to FS.
Not sure how the Lions have any money to spend. All I have been hearing about the FA situations is that they are extremely limited. Seems that the RoarReport has them at 6.7 mil in cap space currently without Levy signing factored in yet. We need to spend it wisely. While I like Reggie Bush, he is older and I am not sure his production will be worth what we have to essentially "give up" to get him. Not uber disappointed to see Avril go but wish we could have at least traded him. Boldin going to SF for a 6th rounder was very interesting. If he was willing to restructure ( get the same amount of money to him personally) that would have seemed any easy way to improve the offense greatly while giving up very little.

If true about reed sf is gonna be stacked. They were probably already the favorite for the superbowl next year.
@NFLONFOX: BREAKING: @JayGlazer : Tony Gonzalez has officially informed Falcons he is coming back and they are working out a deal now.
Hearing rumblings that Stafford and/or Suh are restructuring, thus Det's ability to pursue SF all-pro safety.
Nice if true. Assuming both would include extensions?
I know they've been working on a Stafford extension all offseason
Texans released WR Kevin Walter....good news for Keshawn's chance of getting more WR snaps hopefully.
No idea, but two insiders have put lions in contention for the big name safety FAs, and only way that happens is if one or possibly both re-structure, and the two guys wouldn't have Det in the sweepstakes if the money wasn't there.
I had heard Stafford had little desire to restructure, so this should be interesting.
@RapSheet: Source: #Steelers will re-sign WR Plaxico Burress… again. One-year deal
@DetroitLionsNFL: RT @ttwentyman: Lions give Willie Young a 2nd-round RFA tender, according to sources. Former 7th-round pick will make $2.023 mil in 2013
I like Willie Young. I don't know where 2mil would land on the DE salary scale, but he is unproven. Good athlete though.
Some guy from Pheonix saying Bush to Lions is a done deal.
Why does everyone always ignore O line? All I'm hearing is RB/S/WR/DE.
@MikeValenti971: Reports out of Phoenix say Cards out and bush a Lion....just sayin' out of XTRA Phoenix
Since no one anywhere else has this info, and Suh has been hungry for free agency since he was drafted.
Reif and Fox....and then probably a draft pick or two.
Some rumors earlier about the Lions talking to agents of Andy Levitre, G from Buffalo, but he's probably too expensive.
You never know with the Lions though...they are one of the least transparent organizations sports.
