Yeah. I'd rather spend Bush's money on a decent guard in FA then draft a speedy back in the 5th round.
@AdamSchefter: Seahawks planning to release RB Leon Washington.
Bush in Det's offense is a huge deal, there isn't a back in the 5th round that would be at that level. Reif and Fox are set to start, and Det could get a better player with an OG at that spot than a back as good as Bush.
Check pride of detroit, the rumor is coming because, as I mentioned, two NFL insiders have put Det in the race or even lead for the two big name safeties, which they don't have cap for, meaning the thought is those guys have heard one of the two, if not both, are restructuring.
Pride Of Detroit @PrideOfDetroit
Ouch. #Lions reportedly had interest in him. RT @MikeGarafolo: Rams have re-signed DE William Hayes right before the buzzer here.
Vikings released Antoine Winfield, per ESPN.
cleared a TON of cap space for them. Between him and Harvin gone, they have a bunch of wiggle room.
So pure speculation from Pride of Detroit, no substantial evidence from anyone.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see both guys re-work current deals and free up 15-20 mill in cap space for them.
But no one has heard anything, Suh said day 1 that he couldn't wait for free agency and he really doesn't seem to like Detroit. I don't see him signing an extension to help this franchise.
Stafford on the other hand loves it here and wants to be here, I could see him restructuring his deal and helping us out sooner than later, but no one has heard anything about it lately. Everyone knew when Tom Brady was re doing his deal, and the Pats run that franchise like its Area 51.
Sounds like Reggie Bush and Laron Landry are the top 2 targets for the Lions, maybe they can some how sign both with the little money they got.
@DConnollyNFL: BREAKING: CB DeAngelo Hall will agree to terms on 3 yr deal with the Detroit #Lions upon passing physical #NFL
Meh, guy has made a ton of money in his career for being an average corner
Rogue Leader= Obese coward who didn't attend MSU and has no college degree
Yup. Plus he and Raiola have had some scuffles....and we know the Lions have such an AWESOME locker room to bring that into.

Hope that nmeans Dee Milner is off the draft board
I'm ok with the Hall pickup, as long as we didnt overpay for an aging above-average CB
Does that mean Houston is toast?

I'll hold judgement until I see what the contract is, once confirmed. Huge upgrade to anything we have (other than Houston).
Not so fast:
Paula Pasche @paulapasche
Not so fast on DeAngelo Hall. No deal w/ #Lions at this point.
Eagles release CB Nnamdi Asomugha
Dave Birkett @davebirkett
Hall's agent just emailed to say the report is false. ... That doesn't mean it won't happen, but hasn't as of 4 p.m.
Great player and seems like a good person, would be a perfect fit. Most likely way too expensive though unless Stafford restructures in the next 10 minutes.
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter
Seahawks DT Jason Jones, who lives in Detroit, is scheduling a visit with the Lions.
Chris McCosky @cmccosky
The Lions have signed Amari Spievey to a one-year deal.
Spievey has not signed the contract yet.
Thank you, Denicos.
Kassim Osgood has signed a one-year deal to stay with the Lions, per league source.
The only thing I've learned from this thread is that Twitter is more useless than a Downriver Walvie when it comes to this stuff.
