Unfortunately, they are going to get it by default. Kansas lost so what are you going to do? Duke isn't going to jump over them.
Your team needs to win at Wisconsin first.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
If they win at Kohl they can have it. Otherwise, it's going to be Duke (as it should be)
i won't mind knocking off #1 on Tuesday.
"RCMB: You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainry." - some dude from MgoBlog
who cares if we're ever #1? Just win games in March/April.
Why Duke? If its anyone from the ACC it should be Miami. Duke lost to Miami and had a loss more recently than Miami.
Oh, WTF cares, this shit gets taken care of in March.
I'm really glad we got our Illy game outta the way. They're going to see that good things happen when they defend and play team ball. Maybe they've figured out their 3 shooting.
Illy's RPI jumped up 11 spots, and they obviously picked up another huge scalp (Butler - N, @ Zaga, O$U, IU). They have home games against UNL, Purdue, and PSU. That gets them to 6 wins. They COULD make it at 6-12 with a win in the BTT. They also have road games at NU and Iowa. Win 4 of those 5 and they're in baring a huge collapse in the BTT. A 6-12 Illy team would be really interesting come selection sunday.
Thanks for brining that up. It was a one footer how did he manage to miss?
So as long as both teams win on Saturday, we could be looking at a top 5 matchup again.
tRCMB - Where MSU fans eat their own.
They have to win at Bo Ryan's inferno first. Easier said than done.
Illinois is the strangest team ever.
Duke's losses have been w/o Kelly, on the road, to a top 10 team that's playing possessed, and a top 25ish team. They have an amazing number of big wins (UK, Minny, Louisville, VCU, O$U and Temple). #2 SoS and #1 RPI.
I realize Miami has some great wins, is playing amazing, and hasn't lost when healthy, but a power 6 team should NEVER lose to FGCU. I wouldn't have any problem with putting Miami #1, but I think Duke's resume* is better.
*I look at resume when 'casting' my 'vote'
Edit: Fixed the UMASS loss

This is true. I don't think they've won in Madison since the mid-90s.
He put it up with his right hand on the left side of the basket. Bad form = missed bunny.
I read the news today, oh boy .. ..
About a lucky man who made the grade
I want Michigan to come into East Lansing #1, so when we whoop their ass were gonna show the country that were the best team in the Big Ten.

Seriously? Miami's last loss was in Dec. Its all about who is playing well in Feb/March. JFC you would think that MSU fans would know this. They are a senior laden team that is playing well. If they had UNC/Duke/NCState on their uniforms they would have been top 5 this week.
I agree with your reasoning, but Miami didn't lose to UMass. Their other losses besides FGCU are Arizona and Indiana State. Ask Creighton whether ISU is any good this year.
I'm definitly looking forward to the next 3 weeks with Indy/UM/MSU all fighting for the Big Ten Championship. Though I shouldn't count out O$U or Wisky.
Like I said, I wouldn't have a problem with Miami as #1. I just think Duke's overall profile is better.
I've noticed that TAMU has a subtle Texas outline as did Illy. Really Really want the stained Michigan outline.
what the wha? IU was coasting up ten midway through the second and I turned it off....check the score and Illy won?!?!?!??! gonna need to see the highlight of this finish
what was Home Depot's turnover at 9 seconds in the pbp?
You're right - my bad.
Indy St and Creighton are both pretty good teams. FGCU is crazy, but an argument can obviously be made for Miami. I just think Duke has done more overall.
tBreslin might explode on Tuesday if both MSU and UM win their Saturday games
Just got his pocket picked
This, It's going to be weird not rooting against Michigan against Wisconsin. I hope for a quadruple overtime flopfest with many rolled ankles and minor injuries to bruisedick and all wolvies. Ahh fuckit I can't root for either of these scumbags, so go asteroid toward kohl center.this is like basketball's version of the scUM/ND football game.
