Per Bob McKenzie, the NHL will be fully open for business at midnight.
FSD will televise the first scrimmage of training camp at 6pm on Tuesday.
Schedule released. Looks like the second game of the season will be nationally televised on NBCSN.
National Hockey League schedules by day, week, month and season. Team-by-team, home and away, plus network television info.

The first game of the season is the same night as MSU vs OSU in basketball
21 of 48 games on national TV.
Red Wings play the Blues & Blues Jackets 5x, Predators & Blackhawks 4x, the rest of the Western Conference 3x
MSU/OSU at 6, Wings/Blues at 8. Should be able to see most of the game.
The televised scrimmage on Tuesday at 6pm will actually be a game against the Griffins at Compuware Arena.
Should help with recruiting.
Mods please merge with the "walking dead season 3" thread. TIA.

Favorite part of the schedule is this specific weekend, lol.
Saturday February 9: Edmonton @ Detroit, 2 PM ET/12 PM MT CBC
Sunday February 10: LA @ Detroit, 12:30 PM ET/9:30 AM PT NBC
Has NBC made a West Coast team play a 12:30 puck drop before?
Yes, it's happened before. It's even happened in the playoffs.
As expected, Gustav Nyquist has not been invited to training camp and will remain in Grand Rapids this season.
I'm torn on this, but if Babcock isn't going to put him on one of the top two lines, there's no reason for him to be in Detroit. He's a scorer, not a checker.
Any word on discounted Center Ice or free NBC Sports Network?
I know I'm beating a dead horse, but is there any way we can get rid of Kyle Quincey?
NBC Sports Network is generally a basic cable station.
Center Ice pricing hasn't been determined yet.
And replace him with who? The Wings are already thin on defense.
On Dish it is in the most premium cable package. I did last year for the playoffs but I'm not doing it this year.
Bring someone up from GR and let him use the condensed season to get his skates under him. Quincey was abysmal last year, particularly in that Nashville series
Sure, but the Red Wings still think very highly of Quincey and expect him to be better.
Yup, and the second most-ready prospect in GR is probably Lashoff, and he's not ready for the big time yet.
I do wonder, though, if Tatar could be packaged for some reinforcements. I'm sure the thought is to unleash him next season, but we have no shortage of forwards and his trade value will not get much higher.

Quincey was abysmal after a mid-season trade. Not the first time that has happened. You don't get rid of a guy you traded for a first round pick. I'd expect him to play a lot better this season.
What you're basically suggesting is that every night the Wings go out there with their 6th defenseman being Kindl, Lashoff, or Almqvist, and scratching one of those 3 guys as well. Not only is that hurting the development of the team's D depth, but it also basically says we're calling it quits on continuing to reload this franchise, and we're going to go into rebuilding mode. Good luck re-signing Datsyuk, the guy will surely head back to the KHL if the Wings aren't putting the best players they can behind him.
If the Wings were looking to rebuild at all, Nyquist would be in camp right now, and the Filppula would be on the trading block.
The Wings are definitely going to ride things out the next 2 seasons and see how it goes. After next season, $25 million comes off the payroll (Datsyuk, Samuelsson, Bertuzzi, Eaves, Ericsson, Quincey, Colaiacovo).
No. Give it up.
I may be in the minority on this, but I expect good things from Q this year.
Thank you, Denicos.
