Interesting that they found Qyburn still alive among the corpses. I don't think that happens in the books, right? IIRC he was part of Vargo Hoat's group.
Tywin had Gregor hold Harrenhal, but prior to Robb's arrival Gregor's men killed all the prisoners and abandoned the place.
Yea, but be careful because this is a spoiler-free thread . . .
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
This, but they don't say it explicitly. It looks like next episode will set up Bran, Arya, Brienne/Jaime and I'm sure there will be some explanation. From the previews, there are going to be some Theon/Ironborn scenes . . . but I bet you don't see them for awhile.
Don't know if any of you listen to Game of owns, but I get a shout out at around the 31 minute mark.
C'mon dude....spoiler free please....I don't know if what you said was a big deal or not, but that's kinda the point.
That's not based on spoilers that I know of, that's just how I interpreted the episode. Karstark and Bolton even talk about how all those Northerners are dead and talk about how it's the Lannisters' doing (indirectly, mostly complaining about Jaime).
FWIW, he's just speculating because that's not what happens in the book
Ha next you're gonna tell me that they are going to kill Ned Stark.
It had been a wonderful evening and what I needed now, to give it the perfect ending, was a little of the Ludwig Van.
The Harrenhal plot has deviated significantly from the books. Trust me, i'm not going to spoil anything because i'm looking forward to all of your reactions.
I was home sock a couple of days and discovered this series. Awesome. Sometimes its great to get to the party late. Watched two seasons over four days, just couldn't stop.
This is pretty good, how episode one would have looked if it had happened on Facebook:

ha .... I like the fact I I know actually know the names of the characters and can put a face to them. Well done.
So I've watched all the episodes and I want to read the books. Should I start with the second book and skip the first. I've been told the first book isnt much different then the first season. Second I'm nervous that if I read the books the show will be less enjoyable.

To The Dude and Macks:
I deleted your comments because they referenced an event that still hasn't happened in the books (if you compare the timeline of the show to the books). Therefore, the event could still happen, as soon as next episode, and I don't want to spoil it for everyone.
My GF started reading the 1st book after the 1st season. By Season 2, she had almost caught up to the show.
She's now about 300 pages away from finishing Book 5 .
We both find that there's enough differences between the books and the show that the show is wildly entertaining. In fact, knowing the backstory helps us notice little things and really enhances the viewing experience.
I started reading the first book and after getting a 100 pages or so in, i would watch the 1st series up until i got to the point i was at in the book. Made it more enjoyable for me. Then of course after i made it through book 2 i couldn't stop reading and finished Book 5 last weekend after the MSU loss. Had to do something to take my mind off the loss. There are a few back stories in Book 1 that you don't see on the show too.

Thats pretty good, pretty much episode 1 in short form but right on.
Tempted to read the books ... whose the author.
nvm. I'm not that lazy.
George R.R. Martin. Honestly, one of the best book series you'll read. They are infinitely more complex than the TV shows and the character development is really good.
Oh man you really need get more geeky about GoT
New episode tonight, should be good. I wonder if they wrap up the Dany/Kraznyz exchange tonight or if they'll push that back to episode 3.

Maybe. But Arya will get a lot of screen time. Dany and Jon Snow may not get any air time tonight. Sometimes you can't show every character in every episode.
Jaime and Brienne make a comeback, and it's one of my favorite scenes with them.
