Players/owners meeting scheduled for Tuesday (+ "limited staff from the NHL and the PA). Fehr and Bettman will not be present, but the 6 owners are Jacobs, Edwards, Vinik, Tanenbaum, Burkle, and Chipman. No word on who the 6 players will be, but it sounds like it won't even make a difference.
Tannenbaum wants this thing settled......If they don't get anything done here, the season's probably lost.......

Jacobs? They ain't fixing shut, that guy might be worse than bettman
Fuck Bettman, and Jacobs. Where the hell is Ilitch in all this mess?
Thank you, Denicos.
Illitch is in very poor health. His kids could possibly participate, not sure what clout they would have. But if you know Illitch - they would playing tomorrow if it was up to him.

Doug MacLean suggests if they can get a deal by Friday a 56-game season starting on Dec. 20th. #NHL
I guess that the meeting today was extremely long and productive. They talked for at least 5.5 hours and will probably talk again tomorrow. I don't know why they didn't try this approach earlier.
you mean the "try hard" approach? Same with me.
Told ya Larry wanted to get it done....
Multiple sources told ESPNNewYork.com that there appears to be cautious optimism from both the league and the union as a result of Tuesday's marathon session between the two sides.
Looks like the profitable teams are done letting the little guys take the lead.
That's what happens when you out Captain Serious in charge.
If Crosby helps make this happen, I'll still not be a fan of his :P
Captain Serious is Toews
Go Bears, Blackhawks, White Sox, and Pioneers.
Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand
Is the NHL really really serious about trying to get something done this time? Even if they do, they should have gone this route about 2 months ago.
seems to be
With the exception of the Boston Bruins (whose owner seems to be the serious fucking hard-on in this whole mess, and insisted on being part of the face-to-face with the players), yes.
the NHL has set up, taken down, and then set up a podium for a possible announcement
We've been dealing podium jokes all night on Twitter
They're still going at it, I guess.
Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Multiple people with some sense of what's going on will only say process is at "critical" juncture or "serious" phase.
who are some good people to follow on twitter for all things tNHL lockout?

Well, I'm glad I go neutral on Toews instead of Crosby.

#cba talks were to end at 9:45,according to sources who were told to tear down media room. that they are still going is terrific sign ...
Meetings are ending now, but they'll be picking it up again tomorrow.
I follow Bob McKenzie( @TSNBobMcKenzie) and Pierre Lebrun (@Real_ESPNLeBrun)
According to Fehr, they believe they have agreed on the money. Still some other issues to be worked out, but Fehr sounded hopeful that a deal could be reached soon.
and for all you butts who say "I WILL NEVER WATCH HOCKEY AGAIN", two words for you:
