NHLPA presser on now
Bettman blows, but he is doing the owners bidding right now. The lockout is on them, not him
"Put your mother in a straight-jacket you punk ass white boy." ~ Mike Tyson
see thats the issue, Carolina has a HUGE fan base in NC, I never would have beleived that til I married my wife and drove all voer that state and went to some games as well
Kill Phoenix, Columbus, Florida, Nashville....TB has some history (and a cup)
Swap Detroit and Winnipeg and you've got a winner.
best comment yet
"Chara should be locked out for wearing an Ed Hardy t-shirt"
And if these owners are so idiotic that they're willing to lose even more games when the league can least afford it, the NHL deserves to go under. Why aren't Illitch and some of the other owners that make money speaking up?
how is there no money when im spending 60 bucks for a nosebleed and 8 bucks a beer at the UC?
Florida can't give away tickets. Same with Phoenix. The shitty teams really bring the league down.
It's because they decided to spend like drunken sailors after the latest batch of tv money instead of learning from the last time they did it.
Bingo. Bettman cares about one thing, because that's his job...present what the owners tell him. It's not as if he can literally do anything else.
The owner of Nashville (or whatever teams aren't making money) don't care what Illitch says. Mike is making money, and others are losing money.
donald fehr is borrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring, also, he doenst give two shits about the fans
contraction is the only answer. But who is the biggest argument.
Nashville has too good of a fan base to contract them. Take out the ones that cant fill arenas.
If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day.
Let me get this straight...the NHL calls a press conference for 3:30, and it's speculated that they may announce a lockout. Then, before they have that press conference the NHLPA has a press conference and says "we just want to play, if there's a lockout it's all THEIR fault."
Great!...this will definitely get resolved quickly, and without any bad feelings (sarcasm)
Really thought these dumbasses would have learned something from the last they went through this.
We are not the same, I am a Spartan
BTW and FWIW: a former co-worker of mine is working ......blahblahblah........................... I will give out info as I get it.

Can't stand Fehr.
Contraction would be great. Too bad it will never happen.
Neither side does.
No side of a lockout / strike ever cares about the fans.
No way. I want the rivalry to remain with Chicago and STL
i'd rather have the toronto rivalry back
Screw us again, so screw you, NHL. We have Spartan hockey. With a lockout looming I hope NBC Sports Network picks up more college games. Right now only one game features MSU: Dec. 7 at Notre Dame. And when is BTN going to release their schedule? We're a month away from MSU at Minnesota.
NHL is toast if they do this. The arrogance they have is truly incredible. No way do they survive another in a fuckin' ten year span. Its truly incredible.
Put Cindy on the mic, i'd love to hear that
I'd rather not get stuck in the western conference for the playoffs.
