In Fletch's defense, the guy suggests a former head coach who won a national championship, a coach who 82 games and a PAC 10 title, an enormous whale/coach who took his team to the Orange Bowl and finished 7th that year, and another fat coach who led his team to several ACC titles as possible OCs at MSU. That is incredibly stupid.
Boys, I may not know much, but I know chicken shit from chicken salad. -- Lyndon Johnson
Maybe we could get Wilcher. He does recruiting to get kids to come to Cass Tech right?
He's Enos' Passing OC /QB coach up in Mt. Pleasant.
I would welcome John L Smith back. If you give him Damion Terry to work with and become a spread offense, with that defense, im thinking undefeated season this year.
Too many pages to search through... but RichRod is my vote
NO! F that guy! He'll be continually making bad headlines over his bankruptcy and fucking up
The indoctrinated will no longer be able to deny it, only defend it.
This is probably how it will go down.
If you can do a half-assed job of anything, you're a one-eyed man in a kingdom of the blind.
- Kurt Vonnegut
IMO the likely scenario is
- Promotion from within OR
- Mid Major OC OR
- Position coach from a major program
Wait, what about Tedford, Belichek or Zombie Woody Hayes? Stop settling for mediocrity!!!
It took a really long time. I remember scratching my head thinking: "it took coach D that long to promote the OL coach? Wtf."
Ok, this is ban worthy.

Spent a few moments trying to think of the positives of having a nagging, human sized penis; I got nothing.
Yeah, but Treadwell was announced taking the Miami job on Dec 31, just before the bowl game, and it was on Feb 1, just as signing day was upon us that Roushar was named OC. They then began looking for a wide receivers coach and Samuel was announced on Feb 11. It's difficult to change coaches before Signing Day. They spent 2 weeks between the Gill (Jan 25) and Burton (Feb 8) announcements.
If they promote from within (most likely) they will probably announce that in a couple of weeks and then announce the position coach they are bringing in a couple of weeks after that.
Well, it would definitely send shock waves. I'm keeping an open mind.

I just wanted to make sure I posted in this thread. I really have no opinions on the next OC.
you have no Names? or you really have no opinion at all?
This. If the O was close last season I'd say promote from within, but it wasn't. The redzone was like shining bright lights at a deer for this O.
No opinion, but I like to post in threads that go over 7 pages.
Is he still OL coach at Tampa Bay?
Not sure bringing back a defensive coordinator to run our offense is a positive move.
I know people were joking with Richrod, but if he wasnt a head coach I would do it just for the giant Butthurt that would come from whoretown.
As far as I know, yes.
laconophilia is everywhere...
I don't think it would be butthurt so much as literal ROFLMAO-ing.
Right. Would we be butthurt or incredibly amused if UM hired JLS?
