Puck drops tonight in Nashville at 8:00pm
What say you puck fans? Will Rinne stand on his head like so many goalies the Wings have faced in the past? Will Shea Webbers' beard hinder his skating ability?

For the love of Trevor...™
Any word on Helm for tonight?
Pretty sure the game starts @ 8pm
Pretty sure it's listed on NHL.COM as 7:30, but they could have updated it in the last 10 minutes.
It's been 8pm since the schedule was released earlier this week.
I don't see anywhere where it's listed otherwise.
well, updated for your pleasure.
I already knew that the start time was 8pm. I was just correcting your error for those who might like to know the correct start time. Carry on...
Is Riley Sheahan gonna stay called up he looked good against Chi Town. I know Nyquist will stay up and the Griffins may not make the playoffs that would have Brunnstrom as a possible reserve.
Doubtful with cleary and possibly helm back

He's not eligible. He was signed after the trade deadline.
Last I saw is that Helm will definitely play game 2 and could possibly play tonight depending on how he feels. Sheahan won't play due to lack of any playoff experience but might stay up with the team to get the feel of an NHL playoff series.
Griffins are probably out of the playoffs. They have 3 games in 3 days, and they have to win them all, plus they need help. Gotta think Sheahan and Conner stay up, even a guy like Tater could be brought up just in case. I doubt we see Sheahan play though with Helm coming back.
Sheahan cannot play as another poster stated. Signed after trade deadline.
There's a toilet in the kitchen!
Outside the Cup Finals, I haven't been this excited for a series in a while. Should be excellent. I'm gonna say Wings in 6, though I'm very uneasy about that pick.
Remind yourself. Nobody built like you, you design yourself.
Sheahan cannot play as 2 other posters stated. Signed after trade deadline.
The Wings are so in their head!
I agree. Sheahan cannot play as I previously stated and another poster stated and Ed stated.
Haha hopefully there is a Nashville fan that can answer this, but what is the Preds level of vitriol towards the Wings? Do they see us as a rival, or just another team?
TV outside Michigan?
It looks like out of state peeps are out of luck as far as watching it (at home). I have directv and dont have the nhl package. Fox sports detroit is blacked out. I checked the nhl network and versus and they are showing other games. Anyone have any other ideas?
CNBC. If you don't get every playoff game this year (outside of the NHLTV games), then you have a really crappy TV package.

I do not own this video. It belongs to nhl.com. Here is a clip from the Detroit Red Wings vs Nashville Predators game. Pavel Datsyuk dangles past Ryan Suter and fires the puck past the goalie, with only 5 seconds left. February 17, 2012. MrNHLFanatic
The playoff beard starts now
"The Red Wings signed Sheahan to a three-year entry level contract on Thursday." Nevermind he signed after the Trade Deadline so he is not elgible to play. My Bad
Tonight is as an important game than they will play the entire post season. Get smoked and I think they have trouble winning the series. If Wings win and dominate we'll be so deep in their heads they'll fold in 5 games. Stealing this game on the road and playing at home like they are capable will propel them deep into the playoffs.
I asked the Blues beat writer for the Post-Dispatch about Jaden Schwartz, a player drafted by the team in 2010 and signed in mid-March this year, and was told that he absolutely can play in the playoffs. I don't know about this Sheahan player, but he seems to be in the exact same situation and could play in the playoffs. I don't really care that another poster said that he can't play. I know that Krug cannot play for Boston because he signed too late, but I believe that there is something about the team owning the rights to players which allows them to play in the playoffs regardless of when signed. So either the Blues beat writer or the person in this thread don't know their stuff and it's up to you as to who you want to believe.
