Getting my S3 today. Anybody have advice on a good/durable case for it, as I will surely drop it at some point?
You can drop a pretty penny on a case if you want to.
There's a time and a place for everything and it's called college.
Thanks man. Those look pretty good, but holy shit you weren't kiddin on the pretty penny.
On a side note I just installed Jelly Bean on my Galaxy S (the original) and am loving it.
Jelly Bean is scheduled to come out for international versions of the S3 next week, so American phones will probably not be far behind.
Make sure to check Amazon for prices too. I just got an Otter Box Defender for mine. $29.

You don't need an otterbox unless you're doing construction or you are working in the desert. The otterbox also makes your phone huge.
I have this one:

Oh, to be young(?) and naive again.
If you think that the bloatware-loving, ass-reaming, race-to-the-bottom price-gouging anti-competitive American carriers (mainly Verizon and AT&T) will push out JellyBean anytime before something like Christmas, you are in for an (un)pleasant surprise.
I got this one. Love it.

You don't need an Otter Box. I have a great gray case, looks solid. It's called "Body Glove" and is pretty damn durable and doesn't look like a brick Otter Box. Only cost me like $20 too.
(The pic I attached is the exact case I have)]

What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...
I may be naive about this, but I don't even own an S3, so it's no skin off my back.
After Android 4.1 leaked for the international version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 (GT-i9300), the updated software has now surfaced for a carrier-branded
AT&T and more specifically VZW won't release JB until they get their hands on it and corrupt it. All droids come with GPS and Navigate, VZW tries to get people to pay, at one point $9.99 for their navigation software. They will delay a software release until they add enough bloatware on it to where they are happy and make sure they disable any part of the phone they want people paying extra for.
Now knowing what 1995 is like all over again! Thank you 247 technology!!
Oh, I get that they want to add their crap to it. Maybe it is naive to think that it won't be too long a wait for those who are with those carriers, but yeah, it will probably be awhile.
I have this one and think its tits. Not too pricey

Thanks yall, appreciate it.
I just wish they made a dark green one.
This is the darkest green I have come across.
Ok I'm having issues transferring photos from my s3 to my pc. I hook up the usb and get some of the photos but blocks of photos are missing based on the date. I try refreshing, switching mtp to ptp, unplugging, restarting, everything and I can't see the photos on my computer even though I can see them on my phone.
Also, the thumbnails don't work for some reason.
Before anyone suggests a wireless transfer app, I don't want it. I have no access to WiFi at work and I'm trying to transfer like 400+ photos.
What. The. Fuck.
Sold my Nexus for the S3, regret it. Touchwiz is terrible
What is the preferred browser for you guys? I downloaded Dolphin but do not notice any difference between that the the stock browser. Am I missing something? Thanks
I use Chrome. I love it. Takes my bookmarks and history from my computer and puts it right on my phone.
I have chrome also but wont let me load videos.
Dolphin is amazing
Dolphin is awesome. Play around with it. I notice a huge difference.
I'm looking into getting a new phone pretty soon - is there any chance the price of the S3 drops because of the new iphone?
Also, I've been hearing lately about the screen on the S3 breaking easily - anybody here have any problems with that?
What prices are you seeing? Resellers like Amazon Wireless / Target / Radio Shack etc. should have it for fairly cheap, depending on who your carrier is.
