Video edit from last weekend at Vail
Filmed on Saturday the 2nd. Missed the best powder which was on Thursday. Poppyfields in China Bowl. GoPro Hero 2.
Vail reported 8", 1", 9", 6" the days leading up to this, as well as 2" the morning of this video.
Snow was a bit on the heavy side, so it was deeper than it looks in the video. Bluebird day but the GoPro made the sky look darker and the snow a bit washed out.
Yellow and blue? scUM fan?
35,600 posts and counting since 09-09-2002. tRCMB Dead Pool Commissioner.
yea, no kiddin, listen to the music in that video too, something something maizing the entire song
parts of CO could get up to 2 feet of snow this weekend
Hell with both of y'all. The colors get washed out because of the gopro. They pants are actually called citron and they're more lime green than yellow. The jacket is called spectrum blue but is almost purple.
So yea, fuck off.
Big weekend ahead according to the forecasts, hopefully it comes to fruition.
Yea that last response may have been a bit much. I don't take kindly to being called a skunk bear, but I apologize for the quick trigger.
cool video. what kind of a camera are you using?
edit: you said gopro

Had to cancel last weekends trip to Mt. Bohemia. (Story to come later)
Will be taking Vietnamese daughter and niece to Utah on MSU's spring break. May head up to Big Sky mid-week for a few days before returning home.
If you're headed to the Park City area, Disco is only 45min more than Big Sky... IMO best kept secret(price, crowd, vertical pitch, size etc.) in the region, though haven't had a snow dump in awhile.
My son is doing a internship and BS so that's why we would go back there. I've never seen a crowd at Big Sky, even during President's Week. It is expensive though but I'm able to get discounted tickets. I skied Bridger Bowl last year but they didn't have a lot of snow early in the season.
Going to Monarch Mountain tomorrow. They've been getting dumped on this week. Hopefully it's worth the trip this time.
Going to Bohemia this weekend for the first time.
Heading up Thursday for a couple days.

Where are you staying?
Was supposed to be there last weekend but had to cancel. Will shoot for the end of March if they still have snow.
Say hi to Lonnie and Lindsay - they own the place.
If you need to make and cell phone calls you can only get coverage if you're at the top of the mountain.

vail and breck were awesome this week. lots of new powder, another foot tonight possible.
Alta got 16" last 2 days. They have 311" of snow so far this season. (For those challenged by math, it's not 2, not 288 but over 25 feet of snow.)
Will hopefully be at the top of the Supreme lift one week from today.
Seems like I learned skiing pretty quick. 4th time out and I'm on the black diamonds. woo hoo. Tried some moguls. I was getting the tempo of it, but bit it when I lost my edge on some ice. learning to carve which has been fun. I'm a ski bum.
Welcome to the club.
Woke up sick this morning. Looks like Monarch or anywhere else will have to wait.
Powder was sick today, but traffic/roads are a nightmare.
I love the supreme lift. Catherine's area is fun. My only issue is that my ft take a while to warm up and kind of work some of the pain out before I can skin out to anything. The locals typically got it by the time I was ready to get out to it. The good news with Alta though is that on a powder day you can just lap that huge bowl with the cirque and rollers off of sugarloaf all am if you need to like I do. Alta is the shizz IMHO.
My favorite ski resort is usually the one I happen to be skiing at the time but given the choice I will always go to Alta.
