This team should be forced to stay in the gym until the next game.
The will to succeed is important, but what's more important is the will to prepare.
Eh get off your sanctimonious thrown. Byrd is sucking it up and down both sides of the court. I posted that right after he passed on a wide open 3. Taking that shot is what he's supposed to be in there for. If he ain't doing it then forget him.
I'll post the same damn thing the next time he does. You won't hear me complain if he takes the shot and misses. The only way to get out of a shooting funk is to shoot your way out of it. If he won't shoot it he's a worthless liability out there.
A Spartan Today, A SPARTAN FOREVER. Through thick and thin, low and high water I strive to be the best Spartan ever.
Throne* and stay classy bud
yeah fine throne. I was typing on my tablet.
How exactly is this not being classy? Are people really not supposed to post their feeling on this board anymore? It's an F'ing message board what better place to post it!?!
I feel bad for Byrd that he's trash. He was a hell of a high school basketball player (I live in Fort Wayne BTW). At the college level, he's unwilling to take the open shot let alone the contested shot and sags too much and doesn't get back on D. All he is, is a liability on the court. Izzo keeps putting him in and willing him to get out of his funk, but Izzo can only help him help himself for so long and it's sad and pathetic that a BCS basketball player won't help himself when everyone around him is trying so hard to help him.
Sorry for my opinion I know it doesn't match yours and I'm not very classy. Damn it hurts being told that by someone on a message board.
why is it that anytime someone on here says anything negative, or realistic for that matter, is considered a "troll"?
I'm just stating an opinion.
Down-vote or not, we don't look as good as we should but did come out with a nice win.
Quone, to quone something. Like a patient gets difficult you quone them.
It's probably one of the paid shills on here who's sole purpose is to attack those who are critical of either the football or hoops programs.
Keeping the sunshiners in check since 2000.
Love this dunk pic.
My point is that why be so blinded and assume that anyone who is critical of said programs, is automatically considered a "troll" or a "scUMie"?
Yes I loathe umAA as much as anyone on here, but criticizing MSU is any regard is not synonymous with being a walmart fan (lord knows we have too much of them as it is, and they are coming out of the woodwork like its a pandemic).
Yes I will try to note the positives of the hoops team, but the negatives outweigh them and are extremely frustrating to accept without justified commentary.
Yeah the negatives outweigh the positives on a team that is going to be 16-3 (5-1) heading into Madison in a couple weeks.
What happened to their 7 footer....he he went out in the 1st half after missing a shot by 4 feet and never returned.
You think we can win @PSU with great confidence?
We've lost there before, back in 2008, 2011 and at a neutral court in the semifinal of the Big Ten Tournament 2011.
This team shares a lot of similarities to the 2011 team. Just sayin'.
i'm pretty sure talor battle graduated. and PSU has lost their best players to injury already. they are terrible. if we can't win that game then feel free to post all the negatives you want.
PSU just got destroyed by Northwestern. If we can't win that game we need to just scrap the program.
The first time MSU basketball aired in France the French surrendered to Tom Izzo just to be safe.
But playing in front of thousands of empty seats seems to unnerve us.
Yes I think we will beat by far the worst team in the conference on the road with about 6,000 people (including me) there.
This team is not anywhere near the 2011 team, hell they've already won 13 games when the 2011 team won 19 the entire season.
Stop making predictions. You said this team would be 18-1. And nobody gives a flying fuck that you're going to the game.
Harpos pathetic work in this thread speaks for itself. He wants Izzo gone as he's clearly been surpassed by every other team in the BIG
"losing Caleb Benenoch is a blow that Dantonio will never recover from. Izzo has lost it as well. Hoke and Beilein own the state."
