Mr. Scribb's is pretty classic. Our family used to get it every now and then back on the west side of the state.
So greasy but so good
Wow, I'm all in. Thanks for the recommendation.

Pizza Sams, Alma, Michigan.
What's their best pizza?
Arts Bar - Lansing
Mighty Fine - Petoskey
VIP - Charlevoix
Klavon's in Jackson.
Michigan State University is the university of Michigan
I had a really creepy physics teacher in high school that always talked about pizza Sam's in Alma. Never believed Jim, is it really good?
The Doctor is in:
yeah, it is pretty good
Sam's Special - double crust. double cheese. spices within, baked on a screen.
I'm finally going to try this tonight.
Silver Beach Pizza in St. Joe. Great thin crust pie.
I don't get through Middleville often but I can detour for that GRR...sounds good. I have 3 main pizzerias I frequent in Grand Rapids and highly recommend them all:
1) Salvatore's (on the West SIde).....mmmmmmmmmm.....the original Italian owner and his wife still cook up a storm in the kitchen and they're both in their late 80's: NICE family and excellent pizza
2) Vitale's.........go to the one on Leonard St. as I think it's the best: the one on West River is solid but not quite as good....very authentic Italian Cuisine at both locations
3) Vito's....also on the West Side...similar to New York pizza....very thin, little greasy....but awesome
I've seen them over the years in and around Muskegon and Grand Haven...they are ALL over and the locals swear by them. They also back up the grease claim but...whatever, I have to try that this summer when I'm over there.
I'm sure it's been mentioned but Benito's in the Detroit area is pretty good.
Buddy's pizza sucks. Gathering Place in Troy FTW.
Get there early. They almost always have a wait around 5'oclock and later. Get a booth, you have your own flat screen at the table. Get the chicago pie, enjoy.
Love it. Absolutely love Benito's.
I would also like to nominate the northside pub in Muskegon, stopped there after we went to Michigan adventure once and it might be my favorite pizza of all time.
The Northside Pub Muskegon, MI Call 231-744-3722
Get there early, they almost always have a wait after 5. Get a booth. You will have your own flatscreen to watch. Get the deep dish, enjoy.
I used to have a ton of soul for Spad's on the southside in the early '90s.
Drive-thru pizza, cut in squares, probably tasted like dogshit.
the glenside pub has pretty frickin good pizza.
exit _ muskegon. same as northside
edit not exit.

Apparently Lansingites rave about Art's Bar on Kalamazoo.
Place is dingy and I've just never felt like ordering pizza there.
There's one about a half mile from my house but I've never tried it. What's good there?
For me I have to go with Buddy's. For deep dish Carlo's Pizza is amazing!
Art's Bar has great pizza. Traditional crust, with LOT of cheese.
Also, I can't remember if I have posted in this thread or not, but Andrea's Pizza in GR is the best take out pizza I've had.
