Fair enough but I definitely wasn't "begging" for it. Just hard not to laugh at idiots sometimes. This was probably the highlight of that poor pathetic person's life.
I actually find that much less offensive all the negative crap people on here spew about current and former players.
The guy himself will just keep bumping it. So from now on if someone posts a bannable post in a thread, everyone in the thread gets banned. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
What about the people that viewed the thread? Shouldn't the get banned too for not reporting it? What about the mods that let it go for 9 hours? They are the only ones with the powers to truly remove it. Shouldn't they get banned for being asleep at the switch?

Damn, I always miss the good stuff.
Can't we all just admit the mods got caught with their pants down (hopefully not literally) and move on?
WE DO NOT READ EVERY THREAD. We never have and we never will. We rely on the people here to point out where things are going wrong. Every single poster in that thread knew that posting porn was a bannable offense but they were much more interested in "sticking it to the man" than trying to be a good board member. You guys have by far the most lenient mods on the network and hell, over all sports recruiting sites and still people are assholes.
Here, I'll help out in case posters are confused. Bumping a thread is an incredibly ineffective way to get mods to notice a thread. They all have thread titles that obviously we ignored before and will continue to ignore. The way to get a mod to notice a thread is to actually take the time it took to post "SO EPIC!!!!! WOWOW!!!!" and make a message to some mods with a link to the thread or even say "Look at this thread...full of porn".
Asleep at the switch? It's called just being asleep. It was from midnight-9am. Where regular people are in bed.
Come on man, you have to be approaching 100k posts on all the incarnations of this place. You expect me to believe you don't read almost every thread? Lol.

It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Spartan!!!!
Is it really the users fault that the owners of this site haven't come up with good modding tools? That seems to be a decision coming from management, not the users.
They could just add some more mods.
You're probably here more than any other mod. You're probably here more than 15 of the other mods combined.
Add some new mods...pulling...GatorBill...Opti...
I'm not on here all that much consecutively. I pop in and out throughout the day. Read a thread or two. Go do something else. There's a reason I have only 6000 or so posts in 2 years. I'm just not as active with the board.
I'll agree that there needs to be more mods, but the fact is that there just aren't that many people on here that are level-headed and trustworthy. It's kind of a requirement.
I call bullshit.
Trainwreck and meltdown threads are one of the things that keep people coming back to this community. The idea of banning posters for simply hanging out and watching the meltdown is ridiculous and really goes against the grain of everything this site has ever stood for. That'd be like threatening to ban anyone who starts a Michigan thread (). wait what was I saying?
Also, Jack, you are the epitome of irony in this thread.
Edit: Okay, after thinking this over, I'd like to work a deal. I will text/pm/tweet/facebook/tumbler you whenever there is even a whiff of a pr0n thread if you promise to delete any Michigan threads that are not directly (and I mean directly) related to a Spartan game, coach, or player.

Don't post poop!
Don't post porn and report it if you see it. That's the way this site has been since 1995.
I guess we should "Post like our family is reading" then.
I don't mind a meltdown thread. I mind fifteen meltdown threads.
Incidentally, I was on here most of the night myself.
Well...technically...the owners of the SITE have been requesting moderating tools from the owners of the NETWORK.
I think there are a lot of assumptions being made about the maturity of 98% of the posters here.
Is there an API, maybe need to take matters into our own hands...
Sorry, I meant network, just used the wrong verbage.
Definition of VERBIAGE
1: a profusion of words usually of little or obscure content
Sorry, pet peeve.
In reality we have mods here more concerned with banning Tanfan for saying Stars Don't Lie than paying attention to stuff like 8 hours worth of porn.
Yeah, I know. It's like a nervous tick for me.
Read the thread title as looks like AAspartan has a short D**k.
