Scale read in at 211# today, definitely rocking the power belly
Behold the walls of Sparta: 10000 men and every one a brick.
1/20/13 (day 1): 210 lb / 30% body fat
2/27/13: 194.2 lb / 27% body fat
Is anyone else semi-addicted to working out? If I don't go one day, I feel bad about myself (even though I've lost like 40 pounds). If I skip two days in a row I feel like a degenerate.
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...
Although I just started, I think I'm getting to that point.
from my last post - started doing Insanity and it's been kicking my butt - in a good way. Even though my legs were locked up and could barely stand the next day, I felt the need to at least put some time on the mike-hart bike.
oddly enough, I finished another Insanity workout just now.
Keep up the good work everyone!
i have a strict routine I do 4 days a week (Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday/Sunday). If i miss a day it really bugs me. Been really sick lately and haven't worked out in almost 2 weeks, it's driving me nuts.
My official weekly weigh ins are on Monday mornings. This week I checked in at 196.6 which is exactly 40lbs from where I started back in October and down about 15lbs or so from when this thread started.
The first time MSU basketball aired in France the French surrendered to Tom Izzo just to be safe.
Saw I hit my first goal of 195# on the scale this morning - woo hoo!
changed from juicing to calorie counting via MyFitnessPal mainly because of working out - tBody wasn't satisfied with just juice/fruit/veg and I wanted to up my protein. Having good success. still eating a balanced diet with reduced carbs. not eating my allotted calories in donuts.
still doing insanity workouts with stationary bike/skiing. feeling good.
next goal is to get closer to 185, my college weight. #DoWork #KeepGrinding
it's not just you. everybody feels bad about you.
I have fallen off the train, I got sick for 3 weeks and just can't refocus on hitting the gym. I even recognize it and still can't get back into it. Any tips on regaining momentum? Chinese New Year resolution or some shit?
Try to remember how good it felt to workout; to lose that weight. Maybe the compliments you received or that one notch in on your belt. It's never too late to get back to the grind. I dunno, think about that cute girl at the gym?
Just run a couple miles outside. Nice weather cause it's brisk but not freezing. Hoodie n shorts weather.
Set goals and follow them. It really is that simple.
I've had that happen. I just force myself to go once or twice and then I quickly fall right back into rhythm. It's all about just getting there.
Bump. Weighed in today at 190.4. Down 46.2lbs since last October, 24lbs since the start of this thread. Haven't been working out as much lately, planning to pick up again today. Not in as big a rush to drop the weight as I'm only 10lbs over my target of 180. Looking good and feeling great.Dropping the 46lbs has worked wonders for my bad knee.
Good job man. I have about the same starting and goal stats as you... any tips?
Mostly I just stick to my diet pretty tightly. I haven't lost as much in the last month (only about 6 lbs) but that month has included a 5 day trip to New Orleans and a road trip home to Michigan, and the diet gets turned off on those kind of trips. I just try to keep my work out schedule consistent and maintain my diet. No pop outside of the occasional coke 0, I allow myself 1 candy bar per week and avoid deep fried foods. That's about it.
I bet your wang looks bigger now, too?
I currently weigh 225 and would like to lose 30-40 pounds in 2013. I used to be able to drop weight by just cutting down on volume and limiting certain types of food but as you get older you need to add exercise to burn off the fat. Good luck to everyone on here who has the same goal to take off the pounds. Overweight is not healthy and I know it.
I had a teacher years ago who lost a bunch of weight when he started downing organic apple cider vinegar. Supposedly it helps break down fat. I know, there is a lot out there which says it doesn't work but I've been doing shots of it everytime I get hungry. It is bitter enough that you don't want to eat anything. Worth a shot.

I have a friend who said her husband started doing this and she said it's working well for him. I'd just rather exercise self control.
I've been eating a shit ton of raw vegetables lately and cutting back on caffeine. Exercise-wise, I'm getting out/on treadmill 3x a week instead of 1-2.
I'm trying to get better each week and go from there.
Started at 230 at New years. Down to 208 right now. Finally gonna start running now that the weather is better. Hoping for 195 by the end of May and planning on running a 5k for the first time in June. St. Patty's day, and then the games in Auburn Hills and Indianapolis slowed down the weight loss quite a bit because I didn't follow a diet whatsoever.
The Doctor is in:
I started at 194 back in January and I am down to 165. I am at my high school weight but I have a lot more muscle now than I did back then. I have slacked off a bit as well as my original goal was 175 then my modified goal was to get in to the 160's. I still have a goal of getting a six pack but I can't seem to lose that last bit of belly fat. Not sure if it is possible as I have never had one.

sitting around 215 right now, 6'-0". ran a marathon a couple years ago at 190. id like to get back to that. we just had kids born not too long ago so its so much harder to find time for the gym. im also pretty sure if i quit drinking id probably lose 15 lbs in a month, going to give that a try.
Cutting out pop and beer helps a lot. I cut out pop entirely and cut down on beer significantly. I might go out with some friends and have a few beers, but I don't do it very often. Beer adds on so many calories.
Yeah I'm down from 232 to 219 since Christmas. I've been taking Alli and running almost everyday. 200 is the ideal weight for me.
Saw 189.5 but hovering around 191. still controlling what I eat, but less aggro. Been tough with Easter - had a great Easter Brunch and had my first taste of red meat (prime rib.) everything I denied myself I ate - cake, butter on waffles. didn't max out - ate until I was pleasantly full. Did another 3 day juice reboot the week before easter and will do another one this coming Monday (going to try to tighten up a bit before going on Vacation with the family) I don't feel like like I'm suffering - It has been a lifestyle change.
All my old pants fall off without a belt and I'm on the last hole on my belts. So I went to J Crew to by some new pants - went from a 36" relaxed and fit comfortably into a 34" urban slim fit - dare I say I could fit into a 33" My neck has shrunk back to my college sizes and need to get better fitting shirts. Going to start running now that the weather is nicer so hopefully that will raise my BMR, Keep grinding - RCMB. Proud of you all.
