Convince me to lease a Volt finance people.

My lease is going to be up in the fall so I'm starting to keep an eye out for different things. I've got the sports car in the garage so I don't care about the Volt's appearance all that much. I drive 10 minutes to work everyday and 10 minutes home. My "long trips" might be 30 miles at the most. So if I'm driving on all electric 90% of the time, work the numbers for me. Leases look to be 2500 down, 350 a month. I generally spend 60 bucks a tank on gas with my current Cadillac CTS. I would never buy the Volt, but curious about doing a lease and driving relatively gas free for the entirety of the lease.

There is a special electrical hookup you have to get for your house so you can charge the Volt, or any other electric car. I don't know the cost, but take it into consideration.

If you're driving that little then take the 2500 and buy something used and take the 350 p/m and invest it and enjoy becoming rich.

Why do you need validation from a bunch of people that are strangers to you? If you want to lease that car, lease it.

The Volt will charge from a standard outlet, the 240V outlet just makes the recharge time less.

Yeah I'm pretty sure most finance people would not recommend that you lease anything. Plus, Volts are relatively new, so there's very little information about its longevity.

Stuff and nonsense. Total bullshit. It amazes me when people post as fact stuff that just isn't true. Where did you get that false info?
The Volt plugs into a standard household 120 volt outlet. Optionally it can plug into a 240 volt outlet so it charges faster; those outlets are not exotic, used for electric dryers and ovens.
