  • Cool. I'm sure he really liked it. Now when does he meet with hoke Kelly and Mayer?

  • It's really hard to beat "I won two national championships" as a recruiting pitch.

Yeah, but "I've won one and have to cart my testicles around in a wheelbarrow" is pretty good.

Hey, just the 97th update in a row on the same kid who is still considering us. Can't wait for the next article that tells us......

  • You've got to hand it to kid... !
Cox sounds like he's pretty sharp kid.
He's weighing out everything and systematically taking everything into consideration. I really like how Cox is handling his recruitment. Then based on this and everything he is saying... I am sure that he will make a smart choice and the right choice for himself. Furthermore becuase of how detailed he is... I am sure whatever decision he makes, he will be very convienced and happy with himself that he made the correct choice. Where ever he goes he will be a loyal, determined, and smart football player.

But, also... based on all of this information on Cox, I really think Cox will choose us (State).

As Cox already knows out of his 5 finalist: (State, o$u, nd, pitt, and psu):
It's hard to beat the most solid and longest together coaching staff (consistancy).
It's hard to beat the family atomsphere.
It's hard to beat the playing time available.
It's hard to beat the Coaching Ability of MD and his staff to prep kids for the NFL.
It's hard to beat a head coach that alreay has close ties to the secondary
It's hard to believe that Cox doesn't like our current 2012 recruiting class.
It's hard to believe that Cox would pick anybody other than MSU!
It's hard to believe that Cox does not know how well State has been playing against the Big Ten Talent over the course of the last 3 bowl games

I really think how this kid is weighing everything... his final answer will be State!

I'd take him over Dan Roushar, Roushar is goddamn worthless as a recruiter.

That's not what I hear from a parent who's kid actually committed to MSU. They love that guy and his intensity.

Who is apart of this class that Roushar was their main recruiter?

Was Roushar his primary recruiter? I don't ask to be critical, I just think that could give us some insight. He may have great intensity and may be an asset once a kid is interested in MSU, but building relationships with kids early in their High School careers is a different ballgame. You can be an appealing coach to play for, but lousy at getting players interested in the University in the first place.

Yeah, pretty much. Unless the kid has serious interest in MSU, I can do without all the "breaking news".
