Crowd at Wrigley this week..

After watching the game last night and seeing the huge turnout in Cincy, I wonder how many Tiger fans will be at each game this week? I'm going to the Thursday day game (Verlander vs Wood).

It'll be a great turnout. I went to the game in Cincy on Saturday and there were Tigers fans everywhere in downtown Cincinnati and at the game. With the amount of people from Michigan who have relocated to Chicago plus those traveling to the game from here, I'd expect a great Tigers population.

The last time the Tigers played in Wrigley (2006) Tigers fans pretty much took over the place. Probably more so than than this weekend in Cincy...but that was a weekend series so I'm not sure if T-Th will be at this level.

Good week to gain some ground,
Tigers play the woeful Cubs and Rockies, who have a terrible road record.
White Sox have to travel to St. Louis and LA to play the Dodgers.

Aside from being weekend games, The Tigers were a LOT better that year, and the Cubs were awful.
I was at the game where Mark Prior got shelled for like 10 runs or something. Tigers fans were making a lot of noise.

Also remember Granderson leading off each of the three games with an extra base hit in front of family and friends.

12-3 they won on National TV! I remember watching that when I lived in DC and was excited that I actually could.
Prior gave up 8 runs, 7 earned. Rogers went 8 and gave up 2. Grilli pitched the 9th and of couse gave up a solo HR.
Phil Nevin the current Toledo manager had 2 of the 5 hits for the Cubs, including the 9th inning solo HR.
Chris Shelton and Inge had 2HR each. Thames, Guillen, Granderson and Vance Wilson had each 1 each.

Got outfield ticekts for Tuesday and Wednesday and 9th row behind home plate for JV on Thursday. Got a good group of 15-20 going Wednesday.

All 3 games in the bleachers, may wear a Wings jersey on Thursday to annoy the cubs fans.
I expect the crowd to be about 65 percent Detorit fans, 35 percent Cubs fans
