I don't know how anyone could grow up in Michigan and never hear of Isle Royal.
And, thinking about M-22 immediately makes me nostalgic for Northern Michigan summers.

We'll be hitting M-22 this weekend. My parents just got a place up in the Leelenau peninsula. It's just beautiful up there.

Isle Royale is awesome. Minong Trail and the North Lake Desor camp site. In the words of the Park Ranger, "that trail is kind of up and down, the kind of up and down that kicks your butt."
And he was right.

Yea it's pretty sweet living in TC. Went on a weekend vacation to boyne a couple of weeks ago for golf, took about 40 mins to get there. Last weekend took a weekend trip to suttons bay and to Leland for salmon fishing and that took about 30 mins to get to. It does not suck.

The Air Zoo is cool if you have kids. Everything is indoors and the rides would have been fun at that age especially during the winter as a novelty. They have an SR-71 Blackbird set up on one side against a dark background and the thing seems to disappear into the surroundings, it's pretty impressive.

Who said he grew up in Michigan? Some of us Spartans are originally from other states. Hell, I grew up in California and went to MSU when I was 20. So I definitely never heard of Isle Royale before just a few years ago.
