Damm...I'm interested in the NBA again

  • Cosmo_Kramer said...

I disgaree. I think he is a score-first point. In regards to 'true points,' I'd say Nash, Paul, Rondo, Kidd, Andre Miller, Tony Parker, Rubio are more of that pass-first mentality.

Never said Williams was a bad player. I actually like his game a lot, his confidence. I just think the NBA, more than any other sport, likes to characterize players the wrong way. They add three inches to height on their bios, they call a power forward a center, shit like that. Williams is like a shooting guard playing the point imo.

Come on. Tony Parker is the prototypical shoot-first combo guard. And Kidd and Miller don't belong in this discussion. We're talking about elite players. Williams averaged like 13 apg in 2011. He's a classic point guard who actually knows how to shoot the ball.

Sources told ESPN.com that the Nets and Magic are cautiously optimistic that the Cavaliers and Clippers will help them facilitate a four-way trade that lands Howard in Brooklyn.According to sources the Nets would receive Howard, Jason Richardson, Chris Duhon andEarl Clark in the proposed deal. The Magic would get Brook Lopez, Luke Walton, Damion James, Shelden Williams, Armon Johnson and three first-round picks -- two from the Nets and a lottery protected first from the Clippers. The Cavs would get Kris Humphries, Quentin Richardson, Sundiata Gaines, a first round pick from the Nets and three million in cash. The Clippers would receive MarShon Brooks.Further hurdles exist in that Lopez, Humphries, James, Williams, Johnson and Gaines would all have to agree to sign-and-trades to move them.

Allen is the all time 3 point leader in NBA history

Not only is he the leading 3 point shooter in nba history, but people are forgetting about all the 3's Battier knocked down and Miller because of double teams on Lebron and Wade. Chalmers even had a ton of open looks. If he is healthy come playoff time and the Heat are healthy, they will win again. Also Ray was not happy coming off the bench after his injury behind Bradley. The fact that he signed with the Heat, he is going in knowing he is the 4th or 5th option.

The Heat are not done signing quality bench players

Lewis, 32, struggled with his shot last season, making 23.9 percent of his threes in an injury-plagued year with Washington. But he's a career 38.8 percent three-point shooter, one who made a living playing off Dwight Howard for 3 1/2 seasons in Orlando. If he signs with Miami -- a source described his meeting with Heat officials on Sunday as going "very well" -- there would be no pressure. Just make a few threes every night, Rashard. We'll take it from there.

Lewis will collect $13.7 million from New Orleans this season, an ample financial cushion to accept the veteran's minimum to chase his first championship.

If the Heat all stay healthy, they could break the Bulls regular season win total record....just saying

Agent Tony Dutt said the free agent forward and the Heat agreed to terms on Tuesday, and Lewis is expected to sign his contract Wednesday in Miami. Lewis' decision comes just four days after Ray Allen agreed to accept an offer from Miami.Allen and Lewis were Seattle teammates for five seasons, from 2003 through 2007 — and both figure to fit perfectly into Miami's plan to surround LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh with even more shooters who can stretch defenses.

Tony Parker is a pass-first point guard, Deron Williams is a shoot-first ballhog, and Rashard Lewis -- who doesn't rebound, doesn't defend, and last topped 20 ppg in 2006-07 -- was a top 10 player a few seasons ago. Got it.lol

The Heat may be unbeatable, but Rashard Lewis will have only slightly more to do with it than Juwan Howard.

OK, I will bet you $50.00 that the Heat do not end up with the best record in NBA history. And while I like Grant Hill, he's another well past his prime player. Frankly, he's a better choice than either Lewis or Allen as he's a better all around player.
