    This is fucking ridiculous. If they don't grant him the waiver then something seriously fishy is going on. Kids have gotten them for simply being homesick, why the fine details now?

    And they've already gone through decisions and appeals with the guys transferring to KU down here...wtf is taking so long? it's as cut and dry as they come!

    I fully expect it to be denied because that's the type of incompetent organization the NCAA is. You're talking about a group of people who determined the biggest pay for play scandal in the history of college athletics warranted a postseason ban totalling 1 year. Why does one heisman trophy winner have to return the award because of improper benefits but another one doesn't? I've learned to accept NCAA hypocrisy and to never be surprised when they one up themselves in the department of the utterly absurd.

  • The NCAA was waiting for Athlon's MSU preview to come out. Now that they see the importance Athlon's crack research staff has placed on Arnett for MSU this year, they will obviously have no choice but to Brandon, I mean reject, the request.

    Simplest answer is....who actually sits on NCAA committees and runs the NCAA? The answer to that goes a long way to answering your question.

  • Someone here can verify this,,,,but I thought i saw something earlier this year re ND got a waiver approved for a kid who was in a very similar circumstance to the Arnett situation ?
