    From what their fans say, Michigan only turns down guys they offer after they're full or if they have grade issues. They have never lost a recruit. Must be the exception.

    They've never legitimately lost a game, in their opinion. Why would they lose a recruit?

    And from what all the green koolaid drinkers on here say, all of the recruits we don't get "don't fit MD's system" or that we have to trust MD to keep churning out all-american QBs and WRs from 2 and 3 stars.

    Or I love it when some posters start sayin how recruits aren't TRUE spartans.

  • K-State in Snyders 20 year run were mostly up and down.

    It took Snyder 4 years to build that program out of nothing, and then he went on a very nice 11 year roll where KSU won 9+ in 10 years. Included in that stretch with 6/7 years winning 11 games. (the young 2001 team struggled to 6-6, but they were 11-3 in 2000 and 11-2 in 2002.

    Aftert that they fell to mediocrity in 2004/2005 when Snyder was contemplating retirement.

    Snyder came out if retiremrnt and took over in 2009. Was 6-6 in year one, 7-6 in 2010, and 10-3 last year. We'll see how they do this year with a really tough schedule (@OU, @ISU, @WVU, @TCU, @Baylor - UT and OSU at home.)

    Kansas state had a couple of good years then fell back into mediocrity. I think msu will have another good year then things could decline if we don't start winning some of these battles.

    I agree with you on the aspect that it really sucks losing those recruits...especially to our rivals. But I also have faith that our coaching staff knows what the fuck they're doing unlike our last two stooges. A major difference between then and now is that at least the staff is going after them and not conceding until the kid commits elsewhere. JLS pretty much seemed to quit if UM or OSU or ND were also pursuing the kid.

    I don't really care how Rivals grades these kids out, so long as the ones we do get are developed into quality players. It really makes no difference to me if we land a 4 star, or land a 3 star who we develop into a 4 star. Tanner, how many holes do you see on our defense? Studs everywhere. Just relax. Everything will be fine. Breathe into a paper bag if necessary.

    Most teams are not going to be able to straight up replace a player like Will Ghoston, not even the Alabamas of the world. The idea is to become better via the sum of your parts, and last I checked, we have talent everywhere on defense, and not just the starters, but 2 and 3 deep.

    It almost sounds like you'd rather not have a stud like Gholston so that way the hole that you have to fill isn't as big.
