More documentation? WTF? It took MSU several weeks to get the waiver in because they were being as thorough as possible about it.

This is bullshit. The history of these waivers suggests the NCAA grants them without much scrutiny and in questionable situations. The Arnett situation is exactly why hardship waivers were designed.

If it's not granted, MSU and Arnett should take the NCAA to court. Absolute horseshit.

I am normally not a person who is prone to conspiracy theories but if the NCAA is giving extra scrutiny (and it does seem like these cases normally are decided fairly routinely), then it is interesting to speculate where the impetus for this increased scrutiny is coming from.

I suspect he'd go through back channels to the Vols. I'm sure the Vols are still stinging about how quickly the fall out from firing an assistant presented itself.
