That is absurd. I know Michigan and MSU are rivals, but you really think Brandon would get involved in a transfer situation?

Did he? I don't know. Would he/could he? Absolutely.

He's a "Michigan Man". It's part of their breeding.

  • It would indeed be atrocious if Pizza Boy got involved with Arnett's waves. It's no concern of his if Arnett gets wavier or not. It's great that the OP brought the wave issue back.

  • scUM has been interfering with MSU and trying to block any success for MSU since the first day that MSC was starting. It's part of their dna and I would never be surprised by anything those corksukers do.

IF there is more scrutiny in this case, I am 99% sure it is because of Tennessee and Dooley.

Michigan is a school full of backstabbing, domineering, conceited manipulators, constantly scheming for their best interest without care for anyone else. It's been their entire past and present. It's been that way ever since we were Michigan Agricultural College, likely before.

No reason to believe that will suddenly stop.

Seriously? Why would an AD care about a WR playing 1-year earlier? He has three years of eligibility, regardless of when he starts to play. I think you read way into a few sentences from an MLive article.

You're right. We are basing our thoughts on a long standing tradition of inclusion and support from our neighbors in Ann Arbor

C'mon. Do you really think the NCAA would stand for a rival interfering with an eligibility issue at another school? Arnett's academic file is private. How the hell would UM have the ability to make a single relevant comment on the situation?

Don't think -- it can only hurt the ballclub

    Well said.

  • dunno about pizzadouche and his involvement BUT.....this waiver is taking too damn long: certainly not the "formality" or slam dunk we were led to believe it would be.

Do any of us think brandon is involved?

    No.

But do any of us think he is above it?

Absolutely not. Even you have to admit its exactly the type of thing he and brady would pull behind the scenes all the while saying they were keeping their distance.

Probably not...but history would suggest that it's at least possible.

  • How could Brandon possibly have even the slightest pull in this issue? I can't see how he could do anything even if he wanted to. It just seems absurd that he'd matter right now.

It's probably Tennessee if it's anybody besides the NCAA.

    All Ages Shows

  • Yeah, take off the tin foil hats guys.

    OTPT

  • If he could, he would, but there's absolutely nothing Brandon could possibly do to interfere. Seriously, what could he do? Offer the dad's doctors free football tickets if they go in front of the committee and say, "Nah, this kidney thing's no big deal"?

  • This thread is funny, as if anyone here knows anything about the application process or the subsequent follow up from the NCAA. Does anyone really even know on other cases what the NCAA asked for? Do we have any clue what the average length of the process is?

I'm not sure, but I think Brandon is responsible for the damn crabgrass in my lawn....bastard.

Do you have proof to back up your claims? Show me the proof that Brandon and UMAA administrators are not interfering.

Until you provide that proof, it is common knowledge that Brandon is meddling here.

Fuckers tried their asses off to keep us out of the b1g 60 years ago and they'd do it again if they had the chance, then say it was a part of tradition because "we're meechigun"

They have opposed our university at every step of the process. They don't even recognize our right to exist.

  • I don't think they (um) are doing anything to block it but they also have a reputation that isn't exactly stirling. Suspicion is the bed they have made for themselves.

  • Fact: MSU has beat UM 4 times in a row
Fact: MSU has a depleted WR corps - and needs bodies
Fact: Arnett is a high-level talent and has a year under his belt at an SEC school
Fact: The pressure for UM to win the 2012 match up is ENORMOUS.
Fact: The WR plays has often made the difference in the match up. Think Burress in 1999 and Manningham in 2007.
Fact: David Brandon has shown a willingness to get involved in minor football fracas's. Why the hell is he petitioning the B1G against Gholston?

Considering the facts, there is absolutely no way Brandon would be involved in MSU adding Arnett to the roster in 2012.

I know MSU took awhile getting documentation together.

Either way, scUM will have to deal with 3 years of Arnett and Burbridge jailsexing them.

The RCMB...is one of the most awful, alarming, inappropriate, disgusting, and offensive msg boards in the history of the internet.

    Jud Owns Digger

  • Hopefully... AFAIK we are still waiting on Burbridge to officially join the jailsexing.
